NOT SO FAST! Hope you checked with an electrical engineer, maybe even down at Holmes Hall on campus, regarding "taking out bulbs" to save electricity. If you're talking about fluorescent lighting (as you almost certainly are), just pulling out lamps is a seriously flawed approach: they're powered via various kinds of transformers, and depending on what you've got in your particular fixtures, you might be still be using much of the power you thought you were saving!
