Is it me or the Multidrive totally kills palm mutes? When I palm mute using my amp's distortion they sound really good, but with the Multidrive they lose the oomph, I know id definitely not the amp. Have you experienced this with yours? Did I buy the wrong pedal? Just listen to the beginning of this demo.

Got my Multidrive, and this thing is AWESOME! Even after all of the youtube demos, I was blown away at how many tones this pedal delivers. The three distortion settings alone are like having three pedals in one, not to mention the OD and fuzz. The tweed voiced OD is responsive, authentic, and stacks perfectly with my Blackout Effectors Twosome. Endless beautiful dirt in this pedal! I've had a lot of drive pedals over the years, and this one smokes 'em all!

My local music store never has anything in stock! Last two pedals I bought had to come right out of the display case and they never have anything really high end-boutique like Empress. A bit puzzled with the dip-switches for 2 presets approach they took. With the 3 drives there would be a possible comibination of 9 modes - yet we can only use 2 at a time? To change it, we have to access the bottom of the pedal to flip a dip-switch? I agree with everyone who says 3 individual foot switches would have been the ideal layout for this pedal.

@bigjohnnygee123 because you would also need to buy a parallel effects loop with 3 seperate loops or a 3 way splitter and three amps to do get it to work like this pedal does. that being said im not to kean on the preset controlls, i prefer the way the pigtronix disnortion has 3 individual bypass switches for each overdrive/distortion/fuzz

Are these three circuits just three variations on a theme ( three germanium or silicon fuzzes just with different gain thresholds or filters...) , or are they actually different kinds of dirt circuitry ? To me "fuzz" and "overdrive" when coming from a stomp box are just different types of "distortion" so it's just semantic what you call each of them. I guess I'll wait for the "details" videos. If it saves stringing a bunch of pedals together - I guess I'm in. Empress makes good stuff.

@cosmogang It's very simple. There are two presets. The 6 internal dipswitches are basically saying which of the 3 effects you want on in either preset (1-3 first preset & 4-6 second preset).
