ireland won the eurovision the most times 7 or 8 i think, and now we r comeing last ?!?!? i think they should bring back judges , then all the east countries wont vote for each other out of fear of a war..

i think atleast judges should be put in and say who they think should win whilst the voters vote, so the eurovision stil remains as voted for by the european public, but acts who play their hearts out and deliver a really good song and really good performance can atleast have a gauge of how good they were at the end of the night, even if they come last on votes from the public

dustin has promised the UK 12 points in the final in an interview in the 2nd semi final so i hope ireland live up to his promise! I reckon we could get 12 from malta as well as they gave us 12 last year in protest of not getting through the semi final and they havent this year either!

People need to get the point about Dustin. This is an ironic satirical look at Eurovision and the parody of itself that it has become. But as ever the chav mentality of most viewers means that the entry was lost. Good on Ireland for sending Dustin in. The Eurovision is now a homage to what the Eastern bloc think is music. They need Eurovision to give themselves a sense of credibility. But Eurovision has none at all. It's a cheap nasty event! How many great bands can you name from Serbia?

haha...I can name dozens of great bands from UK but what's that got the deal with eurosong. I'm sure Smoosh (or whatever) isn't one of them. The difference between east and west is that this contest is taken waaaaay seriosly in eastern countries and lot more effort is made. Crappy, generic songs come mostly from western countries...

Wha absolute rubbish. The reason why the UK and reland d not bother taking this event seriously is because of the evident block voting of Easter European countries. Why would we want to send songs and decent artists in with no chance of winning?. I would say that the UK, Netherlands, Germany and the rest should do is ditch this rubbish and ge out of it. The UK already pays money in for it, wasting our money. U need to see why Dustin was sent in by Ireland. Di u not understand irony?

You are totally missing the point. Eurovision is an anachrinistic event. It is not about the music and hasn't been for at least the last 10 years. Amongst the Western nations it IS NOT taken seriously, other than perhaps by Sweden. The reason why the UK do not bother with serious musicians is because they would not touch the contest. It is NO LONGER about the quality of the songs. Tactical voting has seen to that. Nobosy excpet the East care a all!
