Agreed with TaskForce. I understand the need to feel like one of a kind because you know of a band that others don't, but you should only start hating on a band you like if they start pumping out shitty music. Like I recently had to stop listening to the Jonas Brothers because they started putting out stuff that was more geared toward girls.

yea, Satariel, Scar Symmetry, and Children Of Bodom arent well known.... they are amazing bands... COB is a little more known now then it used to be.. i just hate that they are starting to put COB songs on guitar hero.. creates posers... and no1 likes a poser.

@TaskForceSixTwoSix Children of Bodom has went really mainstream. I wouldn't be surprised if they sold out...Skeletons in the closet and blooddrunk are just fucking horrible.

On a side note: This band is amazing, and has the best fucking clean vocals any melodeath band could have.

Slipknot is under Roadrunner Records and they like to advertise their bands heavily as "metal" even if they are not.

Bands that are unknown to many people are of smaller labels. They are not advertised that much and they have to rely on word of mouth.
