1. a better SPREAD of good teams, and bad teams with lots of hidden treasure.

2. You can download every single player name from 2K share. And the announcers say 98% of them - even the weird ones that are actually players, like onuaku or something.

3. Part of the game. You have to adept.

5. The graphics are BETTER in Choops, and the game has more flow.

Also, defenses should key in on stars more, its always just 1 on 1 or double teams, there really isn't any help defense to try and stop Kobe or Lebron from penetrating.

Very interesting points. The last game I have from 2k is nba 2k8. I'm thinking about getting 2k10 and looking forward to it. However, those flaws that you point out make an interesting argument.

I hear Mike wang works for Live. I haven't been a live fan for awhile. Ever since 2k came to next gen. However, In the next upcoming years, I may consider live just b/c of mike.

the intangibles in 2k9 are hilarious. touchdown passes to fans in the 1st row, stolen passes by defenders not looking at the ball, offensive interference on airballs, over the back only called once every hundred times, charges on pass plays, centers running away from the paint, ai controlled players boxing out other players instead of contesting the player driving to the lane for a shot, inbounding the ball takes forever and point guards blocking slam dunk contestants.

I havent seen the PGs blocking dunks, besides it does happen now and then in real life. Earl Watson blocked Shawn Bradley, and Nate Robinson blocked Yao Ming. I even saw Damon Stoudamire block Kobe but that was a jump shot from behind.

fluke, is too light of a word. i was controlling josh smith when i was driving to the lane from the side for a tomahawk. my friend blocked the ball right at the rim with steave blake. it was complete bullshit!!! in the real world, blake would have been on the ground and i be at the line, shooting a free throw. when playing a live opponent on the same system, wacky plays are a dime a dozen. online the refs call a foul as if they're covering a spread.

In the next vid where I take on the ratings Im going to mention some of the important things 2k9 does well because I believe in saying positive. With a complete slider overhaul 2k9 is pretty slick. The game has at least three times the layup animations as CH 2k8 but then some of them have bad collision detection so the potential is there. 2k10 could be incredible if it takes the good from both games.

for im hoping NBA 2k10 will to redo their whole defense and then fix that offense to max the defense.....2k9 is offensive game, more arcade feel more nba live nba jam style.... should go back to the OLD 2k basketball games where it was a defensive game.
