@QBCNetwork: Well, "This Way to Sesame Street" (the prime-time preview that aired a week before Episode 1) was on NBC; someone at CTW must've had a flashback when they scripted the episode this clip was in.
This music was recycled for two or three other clips, I remembered, but always thought of it as "peacock" music, and I remember when I'd always have this music in my head when I saw a...Peacock!
All right, good things come to those who wait! I've been waiting for this one on YouTube for months now! I never forgot Joe Raposo's piano playing from this film.
According to legend, the reason why a peacock cries out the way he does is because he looks down and sees his feet. He then calls out to God to help him be more humble. Read "A Dictionary of Symbols" if you don't believe me. It's fascinating stuff.
I gave the Denver Zoo a picture of a white peacock.

Joe Raposo could score a film of a turd sitting there and it would be captivating, memorable and pure magic!

That's pretty vulgar, but I agree with the point you're making! :) And that's a beautiful bird!

The grooviest, catchiest, most entertaining music for an animal film I've ever heard. This score is truly my favorite!

They should come out with a compilation of Joe Raposo's Greatest Hits! This would definitely be on it.
