Hi @adamtheaardvark,this depends on what you're trying to achieve.  If you want to remove it on click which is fairly common, then add a click event handler to mcstar, then inside the click event handler, add mcstar.removeEventListener(). I code in JQuery and Javascript mainly these days, so I'm a bit rusty on the syntax. Let me know if you need further help.

@PaulSijpkes Well basically what it is, is i use ur tutorial, which was very helpful for making a tree where the leaves fall off on mouseover. The problem is that i would like the leaves to only fall of once and then when rolled over again it doesnt play the animation again. so i wasnt sure if there is some code to remove the event listener after the animation plays through once? thanks for the help. its very helpful!

Hey i was wondering if you can tell me how i could remove the mouse event once the mouseover animation has been played once? as at the moment with the code from this video you can keep playing it over and over again. i know it something to do with removeeventlistener but im new to flash?????????!!!!!!
