I think not. The metal is usually (or idealy) is 316L Stainless Steel. If you choose 16 gauge SS and reverse polarity on the plates occasionally, the metal lasts much longer than traditional electrolysis.
This, unfortunately, is a much overlooked phenomenon in science, and over-unity devices are usually deemed "inconclusive or with reicule or skepticism rather than futher study, nly because they can't expain the science behind it. It's what I call "scientific dogma"
the reason why overunity device are ridiculed, suppressed it is because of the oil industries who dont want their oil business to be bankrupt because they know that these technology make people not buy their product.

This idea is nice, but trough electrolysis a lot of metal corrode, and metal is expensive.
