  • Thazt where i live. :(

it qot better ALITTLE bit it's still kinda bad but. ohh well we still make it.!

  • What is the 700 Club doing directly - hands-on to help the people of Crow Creek or Pine Ridge ? HOPE - Help Our People Excel. Not just handouts.....help them to EXCEL

  • I can say the 700 Club has created an awareness where there wasn't any. Many people have given to organizations on the ground at Crow Creek just from seeing the video clip for the first time. Some have visited with the Reservation to assist with efforts by various teams. So, I wouldn't say their contributions were of no value.

  • @ytindyman777 Ahneen ytindyman My comments were to nudge the 700 Club into putting their hands & fund where their broadcasts are. Walk the walk...not just talk the talk. I stand by that & if religion & the bible were to come into play - to me - it is no different than the bibilical story of the Good Samaratan that unlike the mainstream passers-by - stopped & helped the man in the ditch..while the others tsk tsk'ed ...kept walking...believing that someone else would offer a hand up. Miigwetch

  • government handouts have never done anything good for any one people. May God bless these people.

  • It must start with the children of this generation. New pride should be taught about their history but encouragment and opportunity to be educated in a world that can give them more then they have. Every nation comes and goes as will America one day.. change, evolution never stops so to survive is to remember the past but embrace a future or be left behind to die. A warrior fights on no matter what ...

  • Well, its true that niether the current whites nor the current Native Americans were alive back when all the land grabbing was going on. But the reason many of them cannot get past it even today, is because depsite the fact that its all in the past, Natives still suffer from what happened back then. Large amounts of their land, native tongues, and tratidions are STILL lost. They don't want to live 100% like whites, but they can't live in the old ways either. Poor people, they must feel so lost..

  • ElPerro hit the nail on the head, Its a very sad situation with Native Americans today, but take a look at how much money the federal government gives to Native Americans, and yet they still can't keep a job many of them, or stay off of booze. All they want to do is bitch and moan about how they we're robbed of their land. They weren't even alive back then, but they still want to use every excuse for their poverty. The Native Americans who have been successful and done something, God Bless you!!

  • I used to have little sympathy towards the Native Americans until I began working out there. I realized that if I grew up in the same environment, I would likely have turned out similar to them. It was only by God's grace that I avoided those pitfalls. Most try at some point to make it work off of the Rez only to come back due to addictions or lack of simple life skills. They are afforded extra govt. perks, but without proper direction, the benefits are useless. The fix begins with hope.

  • if our country is supposed to be a free and equal nation we need to make it free an equal to all citizens not just the white christians. do some research on your local tribe or any for that matter...you'd be surprised at how unfortunate these wonderful and not poor but strong people have it. attitudeds like this need to change! help a fellow american out, and don't over generalize the situation.

  • The thing now is to get groups & individuals to work together, rather than think they have to compete! Even on Crow Creek, we see that happening & undermining the desires to bring resources to the People. We need more people getting involved in things like Day of Dignity & other Crow Creek projects, even if they aren't from Crow Creek or ON Crow Creek! Its obvious that the "divide & conquer" mentality has grown deep roots in many in Indian country. Unfortunately. We need to unite behind a cause

  • this is such a terrible thing to see, the sioux nation was such a powerful nation and now its nothing but poverty and mistreatment, if there had been no white invaders the world would be such a better place to live. we would still be a proud people living off the land the great spirit provided us with

  • Wow just 3 ppl commented of the 625 even that says something. I am a full blooded Sioux and this is common. Yes we had it all until the whiteman came along. It is very sad for all natives. However, I am not a casualty of this I went out and did something for myself. Regardless, I am very Proud to be a Indigenous Individual. Hau Ho!

  • some of us aren't able to do that now because they've taken away everything that we had. we used to own this whole country and the european's took that from us. it's easier for them to abuse alcohol and drug's. they don't think about what's happening and it cover's up everything and that's why they stay drunk or high. we know it put's a bad mark on our pride. but the U.S. government has never apologized for taking our land and killing us off. talk about a bad mark on the United State's...

  • It's sad what happens, but the sioux used to be able to live without the federal government, so why can't they do that now? Besides, if they accept money from the government, then they're basically saying they rely on the white government to survive, and that puts a bad mark on native americans and their proud history.

  • Hella sad!!
