I cant help but think that David Foster wrote this for Charice, which he actually did, thinking specifically of Charice while writing it. I would like to imagine that as David wrote it, he thought of the struggles of Charice, the strength she draws from her wonderful God-given gift of singing, and how that steeled her to triumph over trials. I can't help but also think that we should also find our own inner strength when the world at any particular time is not as kind as we want it to be.
