I'm an African American who recently returned from living in Egypt. And I must say that despite many people attempts at calling Nubians "Arab" or classifying them in Western created categorizations like "semetic" Nubians are proud African people! Wherever I went in Egypt I was greeted as a "sister" by Nubians and referred to as a Nubian by many of them in ways whites and some arabs were not. Nubians magnificent history distorted by the organized Arabization campaign over the last centuries. It's a conquerers rule! Now in northern Sudan there are wonderful young men and women reviving their Nubian culture and differentiated them self from Arabs. I think the best term for Somali, Ethiopians and Sudanese people is Aethiopid.

Horn Africans are just one branch of the Aethiopid peoples. No not all Sudanese are Aethiopid but the ones in the North and many of the original Upper Egyptian people are all Aethiopid.
