Hi Stumbled on this Somehow But as my AKA Suggests My Preferences are Rock n Rolll / Rockabilly Have no idea what this is ????? But have heard the Walter Breennan Version His is a Thousand Times Better Than This ??? There will be probably 100s screaming back Going by Some of Your Remarks !!!!!!! But I am Just amazed at this person being called an Artist But everyone has the right to like who & whatever they Like Long Live Rock n Roll The First & Forever UK TeddyBoy
I remember listening to this recording when I was a kid. I always thought, 'those poor men having to stand there while that one guy talks on and on and on."
Neat to see Roy singing baritone. We have had him sing at our church twice. He still travels and sings for love offerings. He has a sweet testimony of how God humbled him and drew him back into music ministry.
Yes, he is dead; he died April 11, 2005. Glen Payne is also dead, he died before they finished their farewell tour in 1999. Miss seeing them and hearing them sing--definitely among the very best!
George Younce is gone to heaven now too. Mark Lowry had quite an amazing story to tell about his passing. From what I remember reading, George wanted to see Oh What a Day That Will Be and family gathered around him sang it..When they got to the part , "When He takes me by the Hand...." Mark said George lifted his hand into the air and then he was gone from this earth. I wonder if he didn't see the Master's hand reaching for him??? Amazing story.
Any idear what ever happen to Mack Taunton?? I know he was on their Reunion Tape. Also I know he wrote the beautiful song of "Sunshine and Roses" I love gospel music and seeing all the old timers really brings back memories. The Kingsmen Quartet is one of my favorites. Thanks for all your information.
George we miss you. I really like this video thanks for posting it. It's good to see one of the old ones with Matt Taunton singing the tenor. George would have really enjoyed that nice bass singer who sounds alot like George who sings with his son-in-law, Ernie Hass and the Signature Sound. Thanks again for posting this.
hoover 4000 I have seen other video's you have posted. You do a good job. Thanks, I do remember something about George knowing of the Signature sound. I sure would have loved to seen George appearing with them. I did see George susprising ever one on Bill Gaither's DVD for the last time. He had really loss alot of weight but we all know why. Thanks for replying.

I think the tenor is Roger Horne. I think he started about when Roy Tremble came on board. Was there a very short time.

I consider the Cathedrals the greatest quartet ever. My life was enhanced by their beautiful singing and their evident love for the Lord.

concuerdo contigo leo... en la actualidad la sana doctrina inclusive en la alabanza se ha perdido con tanto ritmo dedicado solo para mover el cuerpo.
