  • ang galing nyang kumanta! superb!

  • As a mixed Filipino living in the states, I feel so alientated from this aspect of our beautiful, expansive culture. I love finding things like this, it's truly Filipino, void of any Spanish influence.

  • i dont understand anything because i am from germany but the sound is really nice very unice and devine.. i love it.:) .better than the fuckin pop culture that destroys all other cultures....so filipinos, keep saving your origin culture

  • @zubanu1: soging is the proper pronounciation of it in the native tongue..

  • @siriusblack06 Sog-eeng is the proper pronunciation but it may be spelled soging in Mindinao. I am from Pampanga and banana is spelled saging in Pampanga. I've noticed that we have variances in our languages throughout the Philippines.

  • @h4s4t4n mindanaon tongue is unique and diverse, the Lumad's among themselves has their own way of calling or pronouncing any word..:))

  • @siriusblack06 Mabuhay. Thank you for explaining.

  • peace brotha I appreciate your sharing deeply

  • Pahingi rn po ng lyrics pm me po.maraming salamat!

  • can I have a copy of the lyrics? thanks.

  • What is this style of singing called, truely beautiful

  • hahahaha.. its saging tundan.. not soging

  • @zubanu1 yan ang spelling nyan. like their festival its called halabong festival but ang spelling ay HELUBONG.

  • Both beautiful and inspirational

  • This is very beautiful. Even though I'm Filipino, I live in the U.S. and don't know much about the other ethnic groups in the Philippines. Thank you for sharing a part of a culture I always want to learn more about. :D And one doesn't have to be Filipino to enjoy the song!

  • It's a good background music for studying.. :)

  • This is indeed very rhythmic and melodic despite it being around when the Tboli had no knowledge of western musical notes. I believe that this is indeed a treasure; a beautiful masterpiece of the people. I am happy I found this because I have been searching for this piece ever since I heard this as an arranged song for the St. Scholastica H.S. Choir of Manila. Hay. Napakaganda talaga :)

  • Well, I'm not Filipino, but I was mesmerized by this sweet yet strong melody!

  • haha saging tundan, lamian nah nindot kaayo!

  • Wow, feeling ko nasa sinaunang panahon ako, yung panahong wala pa ang mga kastila.

  • hope Nilo Alcala would arrange one of these T'boli Songs for Choir. Thanks for posting the T'bol music truly preserving of of our Filipino Treasures

  • John Pamintuan already did.

  • was this music ever compiled into an album?

  • Ang ganda...ang mahiwagang saging! Namiss ko tuloy yung saging tundan at lacatan, walang sinabi yung saging na nabibili dito.

  • Priceless MUSIC TREASURE of our True FILIPINO Ancestry. Long Live and Preserve the T'boli tribe as well as ALL the INDIGENOUS SELF SUSTAINING TRIBES OF THE Philippines.

    Soging Tundan = Gold Banana.

    Thank You for Posting.

  • Masarap talaga and kumain ng 'Soging Tundan' lalo na pag yung Saging ay 'dinala sa Canada at NILUTO.

    Ano ba yan, LUMPIA?

    Hindi 'Soging TORONTO.

Buying a Banana in T'boli = Soging Tundan

    In Canada = Soging TORONTO.

  • waahh haha :D nice one..

  • Ganda. Parang naiimagine ko mga ninuno natin na kung saan uso pa ang story telling ng mga myths and legends. Parang nahihiwagaan ako sa song. :)

  • Tagalog po me pero at home akong madinig to, saging palang yan, parang rap, walang tigel

  • Great stuff! Thanks for sharing gintongrajah! Absolutely beautiful singing style! btw I have this album :) lol

  • i can understand it!!!

  • i love this sound

  • i meant "coming from" not "but as"

  • I'm not Tboli or nothing but as a fellow filipino i dig this

  • this language is unlike any malayo-polynesian language I've heard of before... there are "F" sounds where in other malay language, their are no such sounds as the F... very interesting.

  • What ru talking about? Lots of Malayo-Polynesian languages have Fs. Only a few languages in the Philippines, but there are pleanty of other Malayo-Polynesian languages outside the Philippines that have Fs. Like Samoan and Hawaiian

  • I stand corrected. =)

  • The B'laan,Tiruray, Ibanag and the iFFFFFugao all have the f's.

  • this is so beautiful. i never knew that native pinoy music was known for any vocals. this is great!

  • What a natural beautiful sound....love it.

    Makamingaw...

  • mau bitaw, makamingaw kaayu.

  • whoaw....love it very much this guys a singer

    doesnt need instrument accompaniment...^^
