When you smoke for your own personal enjoyment; you are abusing tobacco, whether commercial or natural. Traditionalism is using it as the Creator who gave it to us, entrusted us to.

Tobacco was gifted to us as a medicinal & ceremonial plant. Medicinal is internal/external use guided by our medicine people. Ceremonial is use of the smoke to carry our prayers to our Creator, Grandfathers and Grandmothers. Similar to the Eagle who flies the highest and carries messages between us and our Grandparents (spirits). Humans tend to use chemicals or chemically altered plant lives to make themselves feel better, w/o direction from spiritual or medicinal guides.This is not sacred use!

i completely agree with i am actually Indian myself and your right tobacco is a very sacred and the way people view it today is because people have abused it as just something for fun and disrespect its true meaning, by the way do you now where i can get those herbs you mentioned Yarrow, Kinnickinnick and Mullen and how to prepare it for smoking, i have heard of doing this but never tried it,

this is a good tea - a stong tea does taste like asperin

Your philosophy is so true, glad to see that you have an appreciation for tobacco. I believe that when used in moderation and in it's natural state, tobacco is a powerful herb worthy of the respect it is given in Native American culture! Thanks for uploading this wonderful video!

and sorry smoking just highly bothers me, because it effects the ENVIORMENT from all those chemicals , not just that, but it also killed my mother whom i love dearly, and destroyed my brothers, plus my whole family smokes, and i am part native american :3

It MAY be true that NAS tobacco use high quality tobacco. BUT, tobacco itself contains the nicotine and it IS addictive when used for personal pleasure. It is not addictive when used only in ceremonies; therefore, used only as needed for medicinal and ceremonial purposes. Face it, anything one imbibes for personal pleasure that contains any type of chemical or chemical alteration IS ADDICTIVE. Commercial tobacco companies have taken the use of Native American imagery & falsely associate w/NA
