its safe to say gin is one of the deadliest captains he would have killed aizen had aizen not gotten his cheap immortality. The only captains that may be stronger I would say are shunsui or unohana and yamamoto is definitely deadlier but thats it i would say.
@exploremagic23 that's because when this scene happend, the manga hadn't shown the colours of his eyes yet so the anime makers thought that his eyes would be red like an albino but a few manga's laters they showed that his eyes are blue so the anime edited this in ep 297

@Menozuki At this point, yes. He just hasn't got enough reiatsu to combat the older captains, but he's got raw skill and an awesome Zanpaktou that make up for it. Plus he's got Bankai, which is always a bonus.

@EntroTheGreat When the anime did this episode, the manga had not yet revealed the color of Gin's eyes, and when it did, they were blue. The anime artists decided to adjust to the intended color, even though they had already shown them as red when they had no information. They thought it would look cool. Heh.
Thing is, Gin's not taking this fight seriously at all for most of it...it's just at the end, when he opens his eyes, you can tell that he realises that in order to keep up he needs to start taking it seriously or die.
SPOILER but....if Gin is good and he was doing everything to prevent rangiku from crying again...and killing her captain implies her crying again does this mean that Gin was toying with Hitsugaya all along and knew he would be able to dodge it?

For the first 60-ish episodes I was comparing this to DBZ , RK, YYH. This was freaking awesome. But after that all the fukin fillers and plot twists took the luster away. The "graphics" went down and shit didnt make sense. This show could have been SO F-in good only had they not screwed up...but still this fight is too epic ~_O

@AlwaysatWar225601 To say he'd lose to all other captains is an overstatement aswell, because Kenpachi actually likes to be hit and gives himself disadvantages, like the eyepatch (which is constantly eating his reiatsu) and the bells (which alert the opponent). He has never had to actually fight properly and the fact he was taught kendo by Yama and passed shows he had enough skill to satisfy him, which is no easy feat. The only person who pushed him was Nnoitra, not even the former 11th captain.

@humansiege wraoung. Leroux's attack, as per Byakuya, is Kidou based. According to Mayuri Kurotsuchi, Kenpachi's reiatsu is such that it deflects most kidou based attacks (including Mayuri's bankai's own). Therefore, Leroux's power wouldn't even apply.

Gin blue eyes: Makes him look more like an pretty boy, shallow, innocent, less sinister, but more like a charming man that girls adore.

its safe to say gin is one of the deadliest captains he would have killed aizen had aizen not gotten his cheap immortality. The only captains that may be stronger I would say are shunsui or unohana and yamamoto is definitely deadlier but thats it i would say.

@EntroTheGreat When the anime did this episode, the manga had not yet revealed the color of Gin's eyes, and when it did, they were blue. The anime artists decided to adjust to the intended color, even though they had already shown them as red when they had no information. They thought it would look cool. Heh.

For the first 60-ish episodes I was comparing this to DBZ , RK, YYH. This was freaking awesome. But after that all the fukin fillers and plot twists took the luster away. The "graphics" went down and shit didnt make sense. This show could have been SO F-in good only had they not screwed up...but still this fight is too epic ~_O

Bleach is just going too slow. I blame most of it on the fillers because there are too many. At least DBZ's fillers fit with the main plot but in Bleach its different. Again, still a great anime nonetheless.

@AlwaysatWar225601 To say he'd lose to all other captains is an overstatement aswell, because Kenpachi actually likes to be hit and gives himself disadvantages, like the eyepatch (which is constantly eating his reiatsu) and the bells (which alert the opponent). He has never had to actually fight properly and the fact he was taught kendo by Yama and passed shows he had enough skill to satisfy him, which is no easy feat. The only person who pushed him was Nnoitra, not even the former 11th captain.

@humansiege wraoung. Leroux's attack, as per Byakuya, is Kidou based. According to Mayuri Kurotsuchi, Kenpachi's reiatsu is such that it deflects most kidou based attacks (including Mayuri's bankai's own). Therefore, Leroux's power wouldn't even apply.
