  • 0.29 "MY ASS IS BEING KICKED"

  • in soviet russia roddick beats federer

  • Best. Interview. Ever.

  • these reporters are supreme assholes

  • Oh well at least Roddick got the better deal in the wife department

  • @kirsniv for looks, you are right. but I can bet my life that federer's marriage will last and roddick will get a divorce within the next few years.

  • Comment removed

  • is that andy the "BIRD NERD" roddick? is he still calling himself the "BIRD NERD?"

  • I still think he has a Wimbledon in him.

  • @cj397 ruined? I think not- for a start everyone at that level had to be good enough, or they won't even be on the tour- secondly even if they lose to Federer look how much money they get anyway, some people spend more than 30 or 40 years working and can't even make quarter that amount of money.

  • The Honest tennisplayer ever

  • He is like the most honest tennis player and that's my i like watching his press conferences becuase he is always honest.

  • great interview great fun...but it's just too much s**t from the press...I mean so much stick and all...why?is it jealousy?is it something else?A-Rod seems like a great guy, i'm a big fan of his and he's also a great player! Go A-Rod...!!

  • Federer has destroyed him.

  • Ohhh I remember this... I'm a huge RF fan but this was so sad... and funny :S xD

    What a MATCH!

  • Jokes are always half-truth!

  • 3:49-end. Well said :)

  • Hahaha, he is funny and honest.

  • You gotta admire the guy for not losing his temper in the press conference

  • "it was frustrating. you know, it was miserable. it sucked. it was terrible. besides that it was fine" hahahahahahaha

  • u gotta love Roddick i wonder how the press conference would have gone if it had been Federer losing or the thug Nadal with that Uncle Phony the Stalin of the Atp Tour

  • Comment removed

  • andy roddick = steve stiffler

  • Best Match ever by Federer probably. Roddick did nothing wrong.

  • @ LaPerssonandro Roddick won the US Open in 2003 when Fed lost to Nalbandian.

  • lmao this never fails to make me laugh lol. thats exactly how id handle it, maybe a little more rudely tho lol

  • Priceless!

  • Are these press conferences mandatory for athletes?

  • maybe the best press confernce over!!!

  • dumbest questions i swear of god......to the fucker that asked him would he keep the gap thing to himself ....i would of never answered his questions again. Good on Roddick to keep his cool

  • hahaha awesome. good for your Andy. seriously, the media are stupid for asking these kind of questions after such a devastating loss. I wouldn't want to be answering them in his state of mind either. The fact that they are laughing at his answers also proves how this all just flies over their heads

  • @Swordsman808 absolutely, I agree, very well said..

  • It's so funny! :D

  • Brilliant lol

  • Poor Andy. People are asking him the most idiotic questions and making idiotic comments. Yeesh.

  • I LOOOOOOVE YOU ANDY!!!! you're the best...

  • this is the most famous inteview in sports world haha

  • @mysteriekiller

Yeah, and he bagelled Nadal on clay & grass. In contrast, Nadal has only bagelled him on his favourite surface.

  • his last answer is so true.

he continually gets knocked down and keeps getting back up. he has never run away from anything.

i am a huge fed fan but have so much respect for Andy. he is a much better player now than when he was number 1 and i hope he wins another slam. the guy deserves it for hanging around while lesser players wilted to Feds might.

  • Roddick was better in 03-05 IMO. Just my opinion - it's personal preference since they are differernt!

  • @pmo1983 Totally agree. In the last 10 years, he has been consistently one of the best players in the world. Other players, such as Safin and Hewitt, have been really good for short periods, but then gone off the boil the rest of the time. Since Andy first got into the top 10, I think there's only been about 4-5 weeks where he's fallen out of it. If we were to do rankings based on performance over the last 10 years, he would easily be no.3 behind Federer and Nadal.

  • @ozroke1 how could Roddick be world #3 when he can't win a huge title in Europe on the slow red clay beating the top 5?

he is only good on hard courts and grass and you've seen him lose to the likes of Lu at Wimbledon for example

he made sure this year to skip the entire clay court season claiming to be celebrating his 1st anniversary and he hasn't won shit since Miami.

You have to play well on ALL surfaces and Roddick can't.He has to go from HC to clay to grass and HC again in a matter of hours

  • @timafi I said over the last 10 years. He's been in the top 10 almost the entire time since he first got there whereas people like Safin, Hewitt and Ferrero have been brilliant over 2-3 years, but have barely been able to stay in the top 30 the rest of the time. And just because he's weak on clay doesn't change the fact that he's one of the most successful players in the world. Did Gustavo Kuerten and Yevgeny Kafelnikov not deserve the number 1 ranking because they weren't good on grass?

  • a beatdown against Federer is pretty much an extremely bad hangover for anyone lol. especially a decent player like a-rod.

  • roddick looks fucked here, no doubt. look at his messy appearance when he came in and his body language roflllll, but at least he had fun in the press conference.

  • This guy is awesome! Taking a lost final so cool, truly shows spirit.. Inspiring!

  • @xyeDriZZt Semifinal actually.

  • best press conference i have ever watched

  • great sport

    great player

    2:58

    hilarious!

  • that guy is the best

i am a fan of him

i love roddick he plays great tennis

  • Really cool guy, one thing I really admire about him is his honesty in his answers. So many sportsmen and women have these pre-rehearsed answers, saying 'the right thing', but not Roddick, he just says what he feels, and thats a great thing.

  • Brillant, love how honest he is. Great personality for the sport.

  • federer ruined roddicks career

  • @quest8899 grrrr, well, he ruined too many peoples career!!!

  • @quest8899 wouldnt say roddicks career is ruined but it has certainly stopped him winning a few more slams

  • @lachlandalton Did he win any?

  • @LaPerssonandro hes won the us open

  • @quest8899 nadal ruined federers career

  • @mpingola 16 grand slams. FAIL on your part

  • @ScarletCity88 so?Nadal can very well surpass federer hes only 25 now.

I am just saying that if not for nadal, federer would have 22 slams....and if not for federer, roddick would have 6 slams...

  • @mpingola exactly, but in now way did nadal ruin federers. roddick having 6 instead of 1 slam is alot different from federer having 16 to 22 slams.

  • @mpingola Haha, Federer has won so many titles that he could have chosen to retire from tennis years ago, and he would still have a great reputation and HUGE amounts of money. Nadal didn't ruin anything, you expected Federer to be winning grandslams until he dies of old age? All great sportsmen and women's winning streaks and careers eventually come to an end. Think before you speak you moron.

  • @no1doesitlikeme stupid son of a bitch..if federer retired years ago,he would have been surpassed by nadal now in no of GS won.

If you don't understand what I mean...then dont reply you moron.

When did I say I expect fed to play till he dies of old age?learn to read stupid retarded brit....

  • @mpingola At no pont did you say anything about Nadal surpassing the amount of grandslams that Federer has won. The words that you said are written no more than 10cm above this comment and your exact words were, 'Nadal ruined Federer's career'. In what way has Nadal ruined Federer's career? What is there for me to not understand? I don't care if Nadal would have surpassed Federer years ago, had Federer retired. My point is, nobody could ruin Federer's career, Nadal included.

  • @quest8899 federer ruined 99% of tennis players' careers.

  • @quest8899 he didnt ruin it. roddick has a had a great career.

  • @robertk2007 Because of Federer, Roddick has only won 1 major. As great as his career is, Andy only has 1 title=(

  • @Puma722 Because of Federer, Davydenko, Nalbandian, Gonzalez, Tsonga, Berdych, Baghdatis, Murray, Soderling, etc have no titles. Because of Nadal, Federer doesn't have 23 GS titles. Because of Federer, Nadal doesn't have 12 GS titles, because of Borg, Mcenroe doesn't have...., because of Sampras, Ivanisevic only has one GS title, because Agassi, Sampras doesn't have more GS titles, because of Edberg, Becker doesn't have more GS titles, because of Becker, Edberg doesn't.

  • @Puma722 The point is, Roddick has lost to many, many other players over the years. Sure, Federer has beaten Roddick 4 times in GS finals, but that's the way it goes. Like I said, pretty much every tennis player that has been a contender or even a GS winner in the history of the sport could have won more, but couldn't or didn't because of somebody else. Safin was asked when he retired, if he felt he could/should have won more. He said, sure, but so could every other player.

  • @Puma722 Safin basically said that Sampras could have won 20 slams, Agassi could have won 12 or 15 slams, Mcenroe could have won 10 or more...I mean it's all relative. I know it's different with Roddick, because he has only one slam to his name, and the other guys I mentioned have multiple slams, so it MIGHT not seem so bad for them, but still. In the Fed v Roddick history, Roddick has only won only 2 out of the 22 matches. It's not like he only loses to Federer in GS play.

  • @davd1986 u talk 2 much lol... u could have just said Roddick was unlucky that he was in the era of federer and thats what happens 2 players alot of the time, better players appear... DONE HAHA

  • @PorpEm90 I hate when people bring in the ol' 'player x was unlucky that he was in the era of player Y...' Like I said, Roddick has struggled for years now to find any sort of old form, but hasn't, and it is highly unlikely he will. He will most likely end up with a slam. Yes, he has lost to Federer several times at the GS tournaments, but to be the best, you have to beat the best, and again, Roddick has only beaten Federer 2 out of 22 times.

  • @PorpEm90 I hate to repeat myself, but Roddick has lost to many, many players not named Federer in any slam or any regular tournament. To put the blamely on one guy for a guy's misfortune isn't the best thing to do. It's all about matchups. If Borg wasn't around, McEnroe would have won a couple more slams, if Sampras wasn't around, Agassi would have won a couple more, if Agassi wasn't around S. would have won a couple more and cycle continues with pretty much every player fron any era.

  • @davd1986 But he has vsd federer in a few finals so if not for Federer then he would have a few more titles wouldn't he? And I was never saying he was the best his clearly not and yeh you're right he won't win another GS.. His just like Hewitt, pushin on and making some more cash

  • @PorpEm90 I agree.

  • @davd1986

Injuries. Since 2009 Wimbledon and then 2010 Indian Wells/Miami (where he went runner up/champion) he's had injuries. Yeah don't mention that eh?

  • @cougarsrule45 Injuries and illness, actually. He's had a small case of mono. I know that, but even without injuries, his game was gonna go downhill. For one reason or another, he stopped being aggressive and you kind of figured 2009 was his last chance for a 2nd title, injuries or not. He could obviously win one more, but it's unlikely at this point.

  • best!

  • i wish i was his

  • your performance here is better than on court...do you sleep well?what kind of journalists are they?!anyway Andy is adorable even in this kind of situation

  • what was the question for andy saying slim to

  • Gonzales chance of beating Federer in the next round

  • whats are Haas or Gonzalez chances in the final ?

    Roddick :SLIM ...=.t.r.u.e.

  • " How do you rate Haas' or Gonzalez's chances in the final? "

It is in the description on the left

  • How do you rate Gonzalez or Haas's chances against Federer in the final?

  • Gay music

  • hahahaha

  • Haha...funny...I really thought Federer might lose Wimbledon this time.

  • lmao...Oooops.

  • Comment removed

  • I think inside he is much more frustrated than he looks like.. and he had to set there to answer questions .. despite this , he couldn't stop being unbelievebly funny and cant stop giving CRAZY answers .

in short , he is ALWAYS crazy no matter how miserable things around .. and thats why i love him !!

  • dudes he just lost ...trust me i play tennis, its not a great feeling when people are asking you questions..sometimes your just NOT in the mood. lol

  • lol i play tennis too but I actually speak to the newspaper ppl whenever they ask me anything in fact I like it cause they could see how pissed I am but I guess these press ppl don't let up

  • 2:24-2:34.....ooops rofl!

  • what do they ask at 3:10?

  • What would you pay in order to not have to come to this press conference?

  • You could have just followed the questions in the Info section to the right as the video goes along to find your answer...

  • @DRubio992 "How much would you have made not too have had to come to this press conference tonight?"

  • Australian guy at 1.23 is a bit of a prick

  • Erm yes he was. Roddick had given an honest (if wrong) assessment of his game at that time and the journalist effectively told him to "keep his mouth shut" about it

  • ROFL

brilliant ! i'm a federer fan but i love roddick, his performance in the 2009 wimbledon final and this interview are enough to make u want to watch him :D

  • I like Roddick very much. He belongs to the smart guys in the circuit, very polite, very funny and a great player and champ.

  • haha he doesnt seem to happy.

  • 2:40 No shit lmao

  • So stupid journalists !

  • 0:18 ...he played well? he fuckin kicked ur ass

  • Ha ha, so true

  • I wish the music wasn't there, it's distracting.

  • Can't be helped

  • I think this guy is awesome, he did exactly what he said he would and worked hard and almost beat the guy who looked a million times better than him that day.

  • he seem's drunk! xD

  • I didn't know he dislike interviews sooo much :-) On the other hand I wasn't surprised either. Just let him go guys and let him have his beers with federer :-)

Anyway, he has a true sports man attitude but he 's funny at the same time although he is not toying :-)

    Cyazzz

  • I love Roddick's attitude

  • His face always looks like he's thinking:

WTF do you think? on each question. Can't blame him, most of these questiosn were actually pretty stupid.

But the trophy goes to a question asked to Olli Jokinen after he accidentally cutted Zednik's throat during a NHL game.

    Reporter:

How scary was that for you?

    Jokinen:

What do you think? What kind of fuck*ng question is that?

If they are sutpid with Roddick when he plays Federer, how stupid was this?

  • lol that's hilarious. is there a video of that interview?

  • Actually, yes.

Enter "Zednik Jokinen" on the youtube video search. You'll find a video named:

Zednik Throat Injury + Player and Coach Reactions

This is the ESPN report I think.

  • hahahah

  • hes hilarious :) and sooo fitttttt <3

  • he looks totaly hammered

  • how bout u shut up

He's not being a cry baby

    he's excepting his loss.....

    gosh

he's being a good sport and saying how well his opponent played

  • well he argues with the umpires a little more than i would like, but i would be pretty pissed off at a press conference 20 min. after i just lost. sharapova is much worse by the way

  • If you had lost for like the 12th time to the same player... after coming soo close to winning a championship...,

i would imagine that you would be pretty pissed....

how is he being a bad sportsman?

the reporters are asking retarded questions....

he says great things about roger federer... and says how amazing he played...

    thats called "accepting his loss"

  • this is 07 tho.

  • Roddick is one of the best sportsmen in Tennis, he told the complete truth in this interview, there was no crying. Even when he beat our Murray there was nothing but complements from him. As an Aussie you should respect Roddick, the man even congratualated all of Hewits fans after the match ended for giving their support to Leyton. Why even bring America into this? Are you insecure?

  • Comment removed

  • exactly Ecko72jrc

thats exactly what ive been trying to say

  • He had nothing but compliments for how Federer played? You chat shit

  • he looks cocky but he is funny! LOL

  • oh god i love this guy.. really give it to the reporters.. and hes dead honest lol... as some people have mentioned he has been playing his best in recent games
