  • at 0:49 which library you used for the bagpipes? ewql Ra?

and for "Legato bass? anyway, nice job! :)

  • AWESOME, how can I get a copy of this?

  • better than the original, sure

  • Hey, I have a question: where did you get the bagpipe sound from? Did that come with Colossus?

  • @Rolungo perfectly right!

    Just used the standard bagpipe

with reverb edited, and the use of a 2nd bagpipe u'll get this one ^^

  • @MonsieurDreamer

i think that the bagpipe doesnt fit with "Rom" i hope you know what i mean. iam from germany and my english was broken :D

the sound is very good but it was like braveheart what ever and not gladiator (ah my englsih)

  • is the person who made this signed to a label?

  • Man this sounds great. I guess I should look into this EWQL stuff.

  • I like what you do, it's very good!!

Have an eye on my video too

  • omg man! I love it! <3

  • Bravo Bravo :)

  • really good

  • Amazing

  • Really cool stuff.

  • thx, nees! ^^

  • dreamer this was great man!! The chior at the end REALLY toped it off nicely! Was that symphonic chiors?

  • big thx, steve ^^ yeah, it sounds similar, but this time I used an old library called Symphony of Voices cause it sounded more mysterious ;D

  • nice one my friend :)

  • i'm looking for Irish VST such as tin whistle, low whistle, duduk etc. not sure if QL or Best Service have it... :)

  • hmm, good question.. I'm not really sure, but I think the GM section of the Colossus library may have some exotic instruments..

  • EWQL silk just came out, they have a fine collection of rare insturments, you should check it out!

  • for tin whisles they're really complicated to do for VSTs. For the best sound is to record it yourself, buy one that costs like 10$, record it with just a usual microphone and add some echo, it sounds amazing and it's a really easy instrument to learn and play! That's what I did :D

  • John, did yo use stormdrum for this music too? it's very 'punchy'

  • oh, my,... good observation, dude! god, I shouldn't be so lazy to copy/paste music information of the last videos xD I'll correct it at once...

Yeah, I used the "Large Percussion"section of SD1 (jesus, I really want SD2)..

  • haha i actually listened to this song again and again..i love the part where bagpipe blows out the sorrow feelings. the climax and everything.. i don't know if you have a longer version of this song. it will surely be a big hit if you posted on soundclick or so.

btw did you save the video as H.264 format too? this is the best format that youtube accepted but of course mp4 will do the same too. erm.. SD is 3GB++ what about SD2? are there many additional samples?

  • Sry, presa, just checked the video and saw that youtube just "forgot" to add my answer!! :(

Really glad, u like it ^^ Was really unsure bout the bagpipe (never used that before) ^^ hehe, ure really lookin through, my friend xD Actually, there IS a longer alternative version, but it still needs to be corrected ^^. hm never heard of soundclick, guess, I'll take a look ;D thx

  • testing testing...

  • and i also discovered that if you set the audio bitrate more than 256kbps your quality will be the same with or without pressing HD/HQ button...it's good actually because viewers don't have to press the button but already have a high quality audio. i normally set it at 512kbps. maybe you can try it too... :)

  • oh, than I did it automatically right ^^ (audio: 48000khz, 440kbit/s), but still thx for the info

  • i posted a comment but can't see it...

  • Yeah, dude, I also know this problem :(

It's interesting, because the monstrous google servers shouldn't have problems like that..

  • oh my god...am i inside a cinema? haha...really well done mate! it is indeed very high quality. i'm glad that it worked for you too...yes the music is like an Irish style, with bagpipe, climax and the sad atmosphere everything is complete. simply saying it is professionally made...you deserved a good paid off after so much efforts...!!

  • haha, thank you very much, dear friend!! ogod, it would be a sweet dream, if I could compose for movies xD (trailers (movies/games) would be also great ^^)

I'm really glad that u like it! That really gives me a power-up to learn more about composing ^^

  • Btw I see that you didn't use EWQL Symphonic Choirs for the Choir, What did you use for that?

  • Oh, great that u mentioned it, Irdeen!!

I just forgot to write down the name of the new choir library I tried:

It's called Symphony of Voices of Spectrasonics. Really old, but still awesome!! Really, the staccato choir is much better than the EWQL.. (k don't know about the Play edition XP), but there are nice effects included ^^

  • Wondeful video&effects dear friend! ******** and more!

  • thank you, dear Franco ^^

haha, would be great, if there was an option like that =P ;D

  • :) have a nice day!

  • Good work... very powerful! Thanks for the share... best wishes and 5*,

    Lilly

  • great thx lilly, i'm really glad that u could take a look at my work ^^

  • Awesome! :)

    EWQL owns!

  • Oh yeah, dude, it does ;D

    thx, irdeen ^^

  • Great job! 5*

    Kettra

  • Thank you so much!! ^.^

  • Wassup?

    Kettra

  • haha, HD is definetely better =P

Great music like always, Dreamer, and guess what? I LOVE GLADIATOR! best movie ever ;D

  • By the way, how did u do this effects in the intro?

  • aaah, forgot to mention that!

For the effects I used Adobe After Effects, a really great tool, a bit complicated, but it's really fun to use it ^^.

  • thx Shades, really glad bout ur comment, happy that u like it ^^

Yeah, Gladiator is just great, music of hans zimmer also brilliant (The ending song is one of my fav :3)
