Not true mate. Thick hair is a struggle I know as a hairdresser. Ask your hairdresser not barber as a barber will not listen and cut length off which you need for this cut for a THIN OUT cut No length off with thinning scissors all over. Your hair will relax and slick easier. Failing that ask again your hairdresser to run a small amount of perm solution to relax the hair to make it slick better. Buy American Crew pomade.

I have been struggling to get the right cut. I know to have the bangs long, short sides, taper back. What about on top of head toward the back? What is the lengh there? I use a similar technique you do only a circle brush instead. Thanks for posting and thanks for any advice you can give.

my dad and his best bud were greasers when they were teens, young adults.. My dad taught me the greatness of how to do a pompadour when I was about 7. Ive been doing them ever since when I cut my hair short and even when I have long hair. My dad still rocks the pomp when he gets his growing. I love rockabillie / greaser hair.
