  • cool like this alot

    thanks for sharing my friend

  • No disrespect to teh practitioner, but kung fu is based on structure. I see no structure in what Mr. Thompson is doing. Diffinately great energy and flexibilty, but the martial arts have survived for centuries due to their structure discipline. As constructive feedback for Mr thompson, if you haven't already, I suggest you take the time to develop structured forms. I love the idea of bringing the jamaican culture into kung fu. It will have better effects if you structure things out.

  • This particular video is a demonstration of kicking technique and balance, flexibility and strength exercises, not forms. In fact, the Deer style of Bungo Fu has more than 100 different forms or sets, each composed of anywhere from one to seven different responses to attacks. If you watch some of our other videos, you'll see some of these forms being performed by students.

  • Beautiful technique!

  • FAIL

  • Could you elaborate, or are you monosyllabic?

  • One of the more devastating moves in Bungo Fu is the ape kick, in which a fighter leaps and crushes the head of an opponent between his feet in a double inner crescent. It requires not only agility and body control but serious vertical jumping ability. Sifu Thompson, at 5' 7", is able to hit a target well over six feet high from a standing jump.
