@thxeei Have a friend in N.C. that worked airforce security,stood his watch at the bunker down at Myca Ville.We kept our boats there at this small dock.His name is Wayne Casper ,aka Spookman.....

@sentrysam -- I was on the Air Base, perimeter security, not LE (law enforcement). Only night shift duty 2100-0600

The Air Force base end is the international airport? He has a 2006 clip on here that shows the place abandoned.

The view has certainly changed. I'm sure the base was already in sorry shape even when the Russians moved in.
