  • Despite all of the negative comments I've read, I want to say thank you for the great tips you gave. I'm doing my attic for the first time ever next week....wish me luck!!!!

  • Great ... I just pulled up my old carpet and I wasn't sure about which floor I wanted to put down... I can handle vinyl thanks a lot

  • Thank you. I may do my hallway.

  • wow... that is the worst video I have ever seen. You did not stagger your planks at all. The seems look horrible and you paid over 2 dollars per sq. ft for that crap.. lol

  • can we get married and then fix my floor too?

  • WTF!!!!!! a tortilla roller nice

  • Ok, great vid except for the 1/2" gap between the old baseboards and the new floor...I also have asthma and I can tell you those gaps fill up with dust fairly quickly without a simple shoe to tie it all in! Even though you didn't stagger the tiles, it does look fairly decent.

  • @Bunnytoes666 I agree about the gap, wish there was a quick fix for that without having the time and expense of replacing the mouldings and yes...I should have staggered...hind sight really is 20/20 lol

  • Not one bit of floor prepping..that floor will start lifting off within a year..terrible video

  • @hebay2 It's a floating floor. it doesnt stick to the floor. the pieces only stick to each other.

  • Very nice

    Thanks for Posting

  • Excellent! gr8 tips! r0lling pin esp'ly. thnks, Ru fr0m UK

  • except you're meant to stagger the tiles to make it look like reall floor boards, ie like house bricks.

    oh well!

  • Tha allure instructions say you can heat it with a hair dryer, or heat gun on low to get the adhesive to let you take it appart. Lot of work, but it is possible to fix it.

  • hey nice video. i have a question 4 u. u may find it dumb question but as i am new to north america i just want to maik sure this thing. look, i hv bought a new house. and it has everything nice except flooring. flooring is hardwood flooring. n which is not in a good condition. i wanna replace it with vinyl floring by my self. my question is, can i put on vinyl flooring on hardwod floor? or i ll have to remove my hardwood flooring 1st n then can apply vinyl flooring? can u plz reply. thanks :)

  • @darshanjpurohit never remove hardwood just put the other flooring on top

  • Great video! Thanks for posting. I was wondering if you could expand on cutting around objects like door jams. I saw your blue painter's tape and the cut you made, but didn't see how you arrived at placing the tape where. Thank U!

  • Did I see that wrong, or did that whole section of flooring move at around 1:55

Also, those sticky tiles work better if you use a floor adhesive

  • you didnt stagger the flooring. gonna lookl funny. great video besides that

  • @deshevldmusic lol! figured that out later

  • Mrs. Teresa, I'am Jorge from Puerto Rico, and I got four houses, three in PR, and one in Miami Springs Fl. USA 33166, and my question is; You got one DVD video with all your house works, not for me, is for my Aunt Lucy, She loves work in her house. Only let me know how much for the DVD video and you send the package to my Aunt in Hollybrook Fl., My respects great work.

  • @jorgelatin007 I don't have DVD's sorry

  • I think you used more recording time ripping out carpet instead of explaining in detail how to install it. You didnt explain where to start the first piece, nor did you show enough actual footage of installation. Thanks for trying though!

  • the hardest part was ripping out the carpet and ensuring the wood surface was smooth before installing the vinyl. As for the tile, I just started at one end of the room and layed all the pieces together like a really easy puzzle - not much too it

  • you did an awesome job explaining! We are about to start the same task ...dog + 1/2 lb of valentines chocolate don't mix with carpet. I wasn't sure if the hubbs and I could do it our self but after watching ur video I feel confident thanks!!

  • is that stuff expensive?

  • it cost about $2.39 a square foot. I paid a little under $400 to do the master bedroom

  • @7324971 Yes it is not cheap but when I installed it in our kitchen, you could not tell it was vinyl instead of wooden flooring. the difficult part is cutting the flooring to match the wooden threshold of the doorways in and out of the kitchen. The $99 dremell cut off tool sold at home depot is a MUST have for this install. It is very difficult to cut with either scissors or a razor knife the thick allure flooring tiles.
