  • thanks foruploading this is was my nans fav she use to make us watch it every second saturday when i stayed with her thanks for the memories ive tried to buy this but couldnt find it :) love the oldies true stories

  • @unloveable84 So do I love the oldies true stories. That's why I have uploaded so many of them. You can get this movie by going to Amazon.com. They have it in VHS only. But if you have a DVD/VHS combo recorder with dubbing, you can dub it onto a DVD. That's what I did with all the VHS tapes I had. I recommend Amazon for all the hard to find movies you are looking for. Hope this helps!

  • Why did put the 1st mother to sleep?

  • So how were the babied switched? Weren't they both wearing hospital bracelets?

  • @digigirl986 That's a question that will never be answered. The hospital has never figured out how the bracelets were switched. Or at least that's what they say. They settled with the Twiggs and Bob Mays. Amount of settlement was never disclosed. Needless to say it was undoubtedly in the millions.

  • All the sticking babies in anonymous nurseries in those days it was a miracle there was not more mistakes.

  • I never loved you as much as I do now??? You've never looked more beautiful? She's unconscious for Godsake. Neither of those comments would make me happy.

  • Love this movie, one of my all time favourites. Glad i have it on vhs still :)

  • @angelmom3950 No such technology in 1978. DNA extraction itself was a new concept in the mid eighties and harnessing it to use for identification would take another five years or so. Back then the hospital would have said, "What are you talking about?" It's truly amazing how far we've come in the last 20 years and easy to forget we had no concept of such things prior to the 1990's.

  • thanks for posting this!

  • it is a baby doll

  • OMG , I have been looking for this movie forever! THANKS!!!!!!!!!!!!!! youtube is far better than cable/dvr!

  • @190819862011 Part 3 is missing. It showed up as copyright. So I'm trying to figure out how to re record and re upload. Thanks for the compliment. I upload "true life" movies that are not all that popular and I love to hear comments like yours. Makes me feel I'm not the only one who remembers and enjoyed these movies.

  • after watching this.. ialways checked our bracelts after i had my daughter lol.. i was a worrie person... im like ok same bracelets lol.

  • i cried when i watched this. when the other child died of a heart-problem. it was sad. good movie tho.

  • thanks for this! I remember when I was little and reading about it....I was born april 78...

  • @pika23 April what? I have SOOO many April birthdays in my family. Starting with my grandson--March 30, 2010 (he's not April, but still an Aries), next--my youngest son, April 14, 1982--next my oldest granddaughter, April 17, 1987 and last but not least---my youngest granddaughter, April 19, 2006. My youngest son and all 3 of my grandchildren born under the sign of Aries.

  • @napachild One of my nephews was born April 18, 2000. I know several April birthdays.

  • @shannonm75 Well then that puts your nephew right in sequence with my oldest granddaughter (4/17) and my youngest granddaughter (4/19). LOL!

  • @napachild That's not all. My nephew's 2nd cousin was born April 17, 2000, one day before him. That would be my first cousin once removed.

  • @napachild And I have another first cousin removed born April 16, 1983... Like I said I have several family with b-days in April.

  • @napachild You're a grandma? Jeez, I forgot that adults also have Youtube accounts xD

  • @HikaruYamamura Actually, I'm a great grandma. I don't know what that has to do with being an adult, but I'm a great grandma.

  • @napachild I never said you were a bad grandma, where sis you get that idea? I just associate Youtube users to teenagers and young adults, so I was simply surprised that a grandma has a Youtube account. I never meant it as an insult

  • @HikaruYamamura I'm not sure exactly what you think a grandma is supposed to be or do, but I am retired. I am also disabled. Due to a severe leg injury long ago, I will be on crutches permanently. I enjoy learning about and using computers and I enjoy YouTube videos very much.

  • @galveston won't admit to without doing a double blind study. When I grew up, I petitioned the court to open my records just so I could find out where my parents were buried. The judge happened to be the son of a good family friend. He told me I was illegitimate, that both my parents were still alive and that my mother had remarried and may or may not have told her husband about me. I'm going to send you a PM for the rest of the story.

  • @freedombear79 Yes and as one viewer pointed out--Arlena was born 3 days (at least that's what the viewer said) before Kimberly. Why no mention of a heart condition until AFTER Kimberly was born? Someone did something on purpose for whatever twisted reasons. Its too bad whoever did this will never be discovered. I know there are other cases like this one--its just that they seem to have found the error before 10 years had elapsed.

  • @napachild Yes, Arlena was born to Bob and Barbara Mays on November 29, 1978. Kimberly was born the morning of December 2. I suspect one of the doctors ordered the switch to please Barbara's parents since they were the main benefactors of Wauchula hospital. Too many damning coincidences in the paper work being changed. I'm not saying that Bob knew, because it's entirely possible he didn't. He wasn't in the delivery room. Barbara had to be delivered by cesarean.

  • @galveston I personally think Barbara probably had ovarian cancer or the beginnings of it when she was pregnant with Arlena. I may be all wrong, but something caused that bad a defect in her. And when I hear people come down so hard on the Twiggs--think of the hundreds of thousands of dollars it cost them to treat a child that was not their own.

  • @napachild People don't understand Regina's history--enduring Vivia's death and being put up for adoption because her mother was mentally ill and then she was lied to about her mother having died when she hadn't. She assumed Kimberly would want a reunion as fiercely as she did and would feel the same sense of loss--but the situation wasn't the same. Regina believed Bob had kidnapped Kim, though I don't believe he himself was responsible. She felt victimized. Anyone would.

  • @galveston Thank you for more information than the movie. I knew Regina was adopted, but I didn't know much beyond that. Strikingly similiar to my situation. I was adopted at birth. I was told my father was killed in the war (I was born in 1945) and that my mother died having me. Like so many adoptions, the adopted child is nothing like the parents. I'm not blaming anyone, its just the way it is. I believe so much in blood kin. We inherit little things from our kin that doctors (more)

  • Why doesn't it work for me.....so annoying

  • @brownmaryj743 What--missing part 3? I'll repost within a week, I hope. Real busy right now--even for being retired!

  • schlechte qauliteit

  • Thanks for uploading this! Have been wanting to watch this again for ages!

  • @Suzanne190388 You're welcome. I like uploading things that people remember and want to watch again.

  • Thanks soooo much for this! Have been wanting to see it since I was about 9! I loved it back then :)

  • @Lovingirl80 Your question is very thought provoking to me. I can't answer the why----but after careful consideration, I think you're right. Thanks for the heads up.

  • @napachild Doesn't it bother you? it makes it seem like white women don't have a backbone and are the only ones with familial problems. other races have the same issues! They should make movies on women from third world countries who suffer greatly!

  • @Lovingirl80 Its something I didn't really think about, but I agree wilth you. I heard it said once that "third world countries don't create stories people want to see." Same with other races. One example I particularly remember was the Natalie Holloway story. If she was black and poor, she wouldn't have received the attention she did being well to do and white. Unsolved Mysteries gave as much attention to other races as they did to white. At least in my opinion.

  • @napachild And yet, Natalee Holloway was never found. So it shows that whoever keeps committing these crimes knows she is obsessed about. I honestly don't think she is alive. Anyway, we have missing black children and nothing is done about it.

  • @Lovingirl80 Have you heard the latest about yet ANOTHER woman (white of course) missing in Uruba (sp)? They say they have no trace of her and whoever was seen with her last isn't talking. This is the second case in what--five years? If I were a young white woman, I'd think twice about going there! I'm a white woman but I'm no longer young and beautiful (I was ONCE---LOL).

  • @napachild Yes, I have! Ironically she looks very similar to Natalee Holloway so leads me to wonder if it a publicity stunt. I dunno anymore all I know is I think it's sad how channels like Lifetime only cover stories of mostly on wealthier families. I think whoever owns lifetime has changed. This person is focusing on body types, hair types and excessive finances. When n actuality it is more than that. I rather watch the old movies where I actually felt something for those women.

  • @Lovingirl80 I have seen several "Unsolved Mysteries" that feature missing persons (usually women, but men as well) that are all races. I think they are less "prejudiced" than other media.

  • @napachild Yeah, and they wonder why this world is so crooked. The more the racism prevails the longer it will take to balance things.

  • I had to sign in, just to say thanks for this upload. Been looking for this for-e-ver.

  • @dichelbelau I'm glad I uploaded something people have been searching for. Tkhis movie is available on Amazon.com in VHS format. I thought I lost my DVD copy of this movie and I ordered the VHS for it. I can now dub the VHS into DVD format. Go to Amazon for any old or hard to find movies, books or music.

  • Murder in a pg movie omg

  • I remeber this..... thanks for the upload been looking for it everywhere but i couldn't find it anywhere x

  • @kerrystewart2010 FYI: I thought I lost my DVD copy of this movie. I wanted to see if I could replace it and I went to Amazon. I found it in VHS form used. I can now dub it onto DVD. The best place to go to find hard to find books and movies is Amazon.

  • hahahhaha the baby is a stiff doll "Its a healthy bouncy baby girl" X) also, i would be so embaressed being an actris "acting"/pretending to have a baby!

  • 6:56 LOL! you can proper tell its a doll!

  • Comment removed

  • I am french and I recently watched this telefilm on the box.It is a sad story but very moving.Erika flores is just perfect and bonnie bedelia too as the mother. So sad!!so terrible. Is this based on a true story?I actually read it was based on a real event, but the names had to be changed for the tv.

  • Thx for uploading! Have been looking for some time for this movie :-)

  • @Ronait You're welcome. Enjoy! I think Part 3 is missing. YouTube pulledl it because it showed up as "copy write". Now why on only Part 3 I haven't a clue. I tried to trim a couple minutes off front and back, but I think that was pulled too. I have to figure out some way of altering it that will get through the copywrite thing. I'll keep trying!

  • he wasn't even there when the baby was born ? wow

  • yiu are best i have not seen this movie in years '

  • @carlista34 Thanks so much for your comments. I have searched and searched for up to date information on Kim. I found out that the Twiggs divorced and Regina Twigg was living in Tennessee. No word on any of their other kids. Are you saying someone at the hospital switched them intentionally? Unreal!! I also believe little Arlena was born with a bad heart because of her mother's ovarian cancer. Surely she had the beginnings of it when she was pregnant. Any word on Kim? Whereabouts?

  • @napachild ty do u know if their was book written about thhis

  • @christy19802660123 No I don't Do a Google search on The Entity and put in "book."

  • @napachild i havnt watched it all yet, but i have to say, REGINA?? like the ne the mother the tv show "Switched at birth"? i wonder if thats a coincidance or if the producers of the show did it on purpose!

  • this happened in wauchula florida (or hardee county), its my hometown, my mom said she remebers the whole thing..........they did it on purpose and the outcome was pretty sad but yeah, thats hardee for ya!

  • thanks a lot for the movie!

  • @sanja100983 Your welcome. This movie is in 12 parts and part 3 wound up being pulled for copyright. But only part 3!!! Sooooo---I'm trying to figure out how I can add some music or something and repost. Please be patient!

  • @devgene I didn't do anything to it on my own. It is YouTube that did that and I have no idea why.

  • Oh, this is based on a true story.

  • @Kaykay940 Yes it is. And this poor girl has suffered a lot because of it.

  • @devgene I don't know. If you are referring to Switched at Birth - Part 1 and my name being in blue, I don't know anything about it. It is YouTube created.

  • Thank you, thank you, thank you! I always wanted to see this movie again, but I couldn't find it anywhere. :)

  • @starrbeatlesqueen You're welcome! This movie has only been released in a VHS format. You can get a VHS copy of this movie on Amazon. Just put in the title. I had a DVD/VHS player/recorder and I dubbed the VHS into a DVD.

  • @napachild how do yu make words blue with dots under on it like that word dvd? thank yu

  • @starrbeatlesqueen You are QUITE welcome!

  • "nanachild" sounds scary lol no offense but it sounds like "kidnap a child"/ Nap-a-child XD . . thx for videoo tho :)

  • @TheAnimalcrossingirl You know, I never thought of it that way. You're right! See the reason I go by Napachild is because that's where i live. Napa, CA--in the heart of the Northern CA wine country. Its beautiful here! I've just never considered your take on it. But you're right! And I'm still learning about Windows 7, so its going slower than I would have liked.

  • @napachild Ohh hehe

  • @TheAnimalcrossingirl Well I have never been known to be real creative when it comes to creating.pseudonyms. I could have chosen "Napawoman" but I don't much like the sound of it. My CB handle was the Blue Falcon. Hope that doesn't sound scary to you as well. I could say theAnimalcrossingirl sounds scary. Its always scary when an animal tries to cross the road.

  • @TheAnimalcrossingirl Sorry, I responded to the wrong comment! You can just forget I sent you the latest comment.

  • wow

  • A good reason to home birth

  • A good reason to home birth

  • Say..ummm do ya have any chance that u have a lifetime movie called "Survive The Night" i haven't seen that movie in years so if ya do have it, post it up here.

  • @wildmann23 No, I don't have that one. I have one more that I will hopefully put up soon about the boyfriend/girlfriend that killed that poor girl in Texas because supposedly he slept with her and then they went off to military acadamies. I hope to have it up soon.

  • Do you have the movie Race Againt Fear? it has the same girl that plays Kimberly in this movie in it. If so could u please upload it. I have been looking it everywhere and can't find it thanks!!

  • @fashionguru07 No I don't have that one. But I'll look into it. Here's a tiip--Amazon carries a lot of movies that you can't find anywhere else. The ones I look for (probably like you) are not that popular, forgotten, etc. Some movies are on VHS only, but you can dub them onto a DVD. I just acquired "Fighting Back--The Rocky Bleier Story". I got it from a private seller. He tooke the movie off TV and made copies to sell on DVD. I also have "The Ghost on Flight 401". More......

  • @fashionguru07 But Ghost on Flight 401 is dark in places and I hesitate to upload it because of the quality. Both movies are made for TV and based on true events. I have one more that's still on the way. Can't remember the name right off hand, but its the story of 2 kids that are going together and the guy sleeps with another girl so his girlfriend convinces him he has to kill her. I like to upload movies that are all but forgotten and are hard to find, yet remembered by some.

  • @fashionguru07 I also like to look up updates to the based on a true story. This poor girl has suffered immeasureably because of what happened to her. She moved out of her dad's place and then moved in with the Twiggs. Then she went back to Bob Mays, then back to the Twiggs She sued the Twiggs to end parental rights (and won) and then she went to live witih them again. Poor girl. She is really confused. She has a son now and she lost custody of him temporarily I hope she finds peace.

  • This is such a good movie! I use to watch It all the time years ago until the tape wouldn't work anymore and haven't been able to find it since.. thanks for sharing! :)

  • @blondieinontario You're welcome! Actually, this particular DVD of mine had been missing for several months. And I decided to get rid of my DVD/VHS/player/recorder) and when I did so, I checked the DVD drive and found one of my favorite movies--this one You can get a copy of your own by going to Amazon. In my own experience, Amazon is the best place to find hard-to-find movies. This movie only comes in VHS format. This poor girl has suffered so much because of the switch. And she still is

  • thanks for putting this up. =)
