But i must say that the newer generations really learn alot from the older generation's Live performers experiences.

I think that Fujimoto and Takahashi's voices are amazing, that's because they get a lot of lines, it's simple, they sing very well.

Agreed on gens 1-5. However, I think the 1st generation is the best because they were pure raw talent. They didn't start with the "I'm gonna become an idol" image. They worked HARD to get where they were (hand-selling 50,000 copies of their demo, even with one of the members dreadfully sick [Nakazawa had the flu yet went out and promoted]), and varied in vocal specialties. The 2nd gen. was a perfect round-out to the 1st, so my favorites are gens 1&2, with gen. 4 rounding out my top 3.

Well, now it's down to Takahashi. It was practically Takahashi and Fujimoto, and it showed in recent songs. Now that Mikitty's gone, it's Takahashi who's carrying all the talent. Gone away from the great singers catergory are Fukuda, Ishiguro, Nakazawa, Abe, Iida, Ichii, Yasuda, Yaguchi, Goto, and Kago to an extent (notice ALL but one are ALL the 1-3 the generation members!)...

Well, I will say that she has an amazing voice too, however, the problem with Tanaka is that she seems to get many lines by default. When she first started, people were WAY tired of the former "vocal aces" (Nacchi and Takahashi, since Gottsuan had graduated) and people thought it was unfair for Fujimoto to get a lot of lines at first since she had enough attention from being solo. Tanaka had become an instant vocal ace, but alas, people got tired of her.

OtomeGumi songs REALLY exhausted Tanaka's talent with her being the ace in the singles AND the coupling tracks. Very soon, Takahashi's ace rebirth occured (only her and Abe have done it), she replaced Tanaka--who went from ace to "nokorimono." The first song this was noticeable was "Roman ~My Dear Boy~", when the song was practically Fujimoto, Takahashi, and Ishikawa lead and the rest as backup. Tanaka was close to a "rebirth" with "Ambitious" when she was finally given a center yet that failed.
