  • "it's a gift, and a curse" - monk

  • I would like to get rid of the negative aspects of myself, of how my brain and body work, but I think that can be said of everyone with or without this disorder. I still appreciate the positive points and if it came down to all or nothing then I'd choose to keep it all.

  • Wow, EVERYthing I've read or heard from an Aspie on their opinion of "would you like to be cured?" has been a resounding "NO!" and I wholeheartedly agree! I have just found in the past couple of years THE WHY!? of ME after all these years and I love reading about it because I feel SO VALIDATED (instead of being so sad about "why am I so weird" which I felt for over 45 years!) It explained SO much...

  • I'm really glad I found something/someone that I could relate to.

  • @m0rgansa1d

I feel the exact same way.

  • In my opinion Asperger's Syndrome is both a curse and a blessing. Believe it or not there are some people who don't want to have AS. They find it crippling.

  • I'm very open with everything. A lot of people tell me it's a bad thing.

I hate we're a "disease" to. Asperger's for me is like black and white people. I feel we just think and see things differently and our socializing is different. However, we have sensory overloads. The only time "normal" people have "meltdowns" is from things such as just stress of long periods of times. Must be nice. I have a few of those every week. Almost daily, lol.
