  • Wow! I was reading some of the comments and people can be so critical -- especially over the silliest things! Seriously! Anyway... I really like the fact that you spoke from your heart and not from a written out script. Very well put in my opinion! I'm going to send this video clip to a young girl who is struggling with some things because I think it may help her.

  • @daredheaded1 This site has changed drastically since I first joined. I quit posting videos almost a year ago. I miss the way it used to be =(

  • psychology explains human behavior, why does it need to explain?because the reasons for our behaviours are different than we think/or we do things without reasons actually we do things without knowing the reasons.if we knew why we are doing..there would be no need for pyschology. not knowing is fine, and being watched or to be famous ,interaction with people helps you to meet people, subconscious knows what you need and makes you do things.and inever said its bad to want to be watched.why is your

  • would like to say 2 things,

the 'hey everybody' on your most of the videos, sounds rabbitish

second, i don't know why but i can never concentrate on the subject, might be because i think these videos are not to explain something but from the instinct to be watched and maybe to be famous

  • You're obviously one of the "new" crew. You'll never understand what this site once was, and the friendships we had.

  • i agree with you but our main focus about happiness should not be about material world etc.... I"m not saying it wrong to get happy about material things but as long God is your main focus.

I believe Inward happiness is what counts and God what brings inward joy peace happyiness.

computers games money etc... that all nice and it makes me happy to a point but sometimes you feel like that not enouch and that when God comes to save the day.

  • I think God focus is more on us being Holy not that he wants us not be happy at all.

It depends on what makes you happy if it wordly material things remember those things will past. Jesus said store up your treasures in heaven.

  • Actually, whatever we find interesting, is also of interest to God. He loves us that much. And the Bible says "The joy of the Lord is our strength". He wants us to have a deep, long-lasting joy and peace. It's biblical.

  • Like most Christians, you are so fake it isnt even funny.

  • Buh Bye

  • you are too old

  • And yet the guys who are half my age would date me if I were single, as they are constantly telling me. Regardless, I'd rather be mature and happily living my life, than being immature, rude and ignorant, while hiding who I really was, behind the internet.

Be comfortable and secure in who you are, and find joy in living life to the fullest.

  • you're sexy. to bad you're a square.

  • Square? Umm, have you seen my channel vid? LOL

  • haha, i was just kidding. i haven't seen your channel vid yet. i will check out some more of your videos later tonight.

i just figured anyone who calls themselves "bible girl" is probably kind of "squarish."

  • Once you watch the video about my user name you're gonna feel pretty silly =P

  • Wow, thats awesome. Wait im pretty sure you believe (forgive me I'm a Catholic and my Dad dosnt like me being tide to close to christian, even though I am a type of Christian) anyway, you sound so filled with the Holy Spirit. It feels as though He is speaking through you and letting the words flow :)

  • Spirit Filled- yep ;-) Since I was about 7 years old =D

  • I'd rather have JOY. It is my strength. Even when I am weak. =)

  • Amen! =)

  • We Muslims say "Ameen" meaning " May Allah accept it". Is that what Amen is supposed to mean?

  • Amen in Christianity means "So be it".

  • I only watched the beginning half of this video [forgive me, it's 2AM and I'm sleepy] , but it still made me really happy and confident in my faith. I'm a bible girl, too =]]

  • Great! =)

  • When you kept saying "joy" it made the song"I've got the joy in my heart" get stuck in my head.

"I've got the joy, joy, joy, joy, Down in my heart. Where? Down in my heart."

    Sorry.

  • LOL! That's an old one! I wonder how many people have even heard it.

  • love that one =]

  • But anyone could convince themselves they are, or act like they are 'free and strong' at any given time, and still not have joy, because joy is not something we get to choose how to define or how is manifests itself in our lives. God does that. And we cannot receive that joy without regularly seeking God out and spending time with Him. Joy is the goal of our faith, but it is not something we just have because we are saved.

  • and hey, I'm not trying to start an argument or anything. :) I'm just sharing some thoughts. If the joy of the Lord in your life makes you feel free and strong, than that's awesome! But I don't think that's how it works for everybody. God is too complex for that! haha ;)

  • It's an actual scripture. Ere the name biblegirl ;-)

  • Hey check out 1 Peter 1:8! Its a GREAT verse on joy. I believe we CAN have faith without joy. We can have faith in the Lord that He exists and that He is in control of our circumstances, whatever they are, and yet still not truly understand or experience the joy of the Lord. It is through a continuous seeking out of the Lord that we will receive His joy and come to understand what it really means to have joy in Him.

  • I'm sure it's possible, but I also believe we can choose to live free and strong. IMHO, if I'm free and strong, I have joy.

  • Wow i really needed to hear this. I had been experiencing very hard times and was only focusing on the happiness.when i needed to focus on the joy.. theres a mountain of reasons why im glad you posted this video.. and im going to stand in the rain..and make it through eventually.

  • One tip... focus on God ,-) When you focus on Him, He gives you joy =)

  • Not to be a mood killer. I understand your views and I absolutly respect them but Joy and Happiness come from your life and the understand you get from life. I'm Agnostic so I don't take my joy from faith, but I have joy and happiness from the love of my friends, the love of my family, the things I have. I agree with the difficulty thing, u need a challange in life in order become a stronger person. From my understanding God has no physical control over you and Satan is the one who does it

  • I'll just respond to your last sentence. Yes, Satan causes problems. But he can't do anything that God doesn't allow. Like in the book of Job. Satan actually went and asked God if He could attack Job. Because Job was a servant of God, Satan had no right to attack him without God's permission. Even if you're Agnostic, you might enjoy reading that book. It's actually an intellectual read. It's really deep when you see how the friends affected Job's attitude. =)

  • I'm glad you said what you said. God is indeed concerned with both Holiness and happiness. People don't realize that many times Holiness brings happiness. Look at the book of Daniel. I'm reading that now.

    -Nate

  • Good example =)

  • I understand so much more now, I never really thought about how much difference there is between happiness and joy. I really took a lot from this video, thanks a lot.

     ;)

  • Awesome! =)

  • Everyone should hear this message. Chasing happiness is chasing the wind.

  • Yep. And that's a scripture too =)

  • Great to hear it! I'll listen again tommorrow when I'm awake enough to catch everything you said. 6am and I haven't been to bed yet.

  • just read over my comment and felt to clarify that i meant, it's better to not waste time, thus it's better to use u'r time accepting God's love

  • sometimes i try to control people, try to make them love me... but u'r right, we arn't in control, can def. not control others...that's why it's just better to not waste time and try to accept GOD'S love... for me anyway.

  • Been there, done that. Then I started praying for God to help me to see myself as God sees me, and love myself as God loves me. Because He doesn't make mistakes, and He loves me unconditionally. Then I took it a step further and asked Him to change me into the woman I needed to be, and prepare me for my future husband. And He did =) I know that if I had met my husband one year before I did, I would not have been able to sustain a healthy relationship. But God changed me, as needed. =D

  • How do you get your eyes to out sparkle your hair?

  • Aaaww. That's sweet. No what do you want. =P

  • wow, youre pretty much talkin about the same subject my pastor was last weekend. you can see it online if you want. i think its really good.

    lifechurch.

    tv

  • I really think there are very few people who would be happy about spending eterntity baking in a burning lake of sulfur. Despite the fact this what folks deserve, God sacrificed God's son and offer salvation to unrighteous people. I'd say the God of the Chrisitan religion is more concerned with the happiness of people than their holiness.

  • That may be what people think, but it's completely unbiblical.

  • I really appreciated your discussion of finding joy in difficult times in this vlog.

And I quite agree with your response to me. 1 Peter quotes Leviticus in saying, "be holy as I am holy." However, the distinction made between atonement and sanctification in most orthodox traditions would suggest that holiness is not what God desires most but rather salvation.

  • Why would there be an issue over which one God desires more? I mean, we can't be holy if we're not saved, so I guess both would be required... or neither.

  • well stated, solid foundation

happiness can be superficial, but yes joy is a simplified feeling we get from the reminder that god is there. someone always cares. there is no true loneliness with god.

  • I have a really long response in mind, but I'm too tired to post it. =/ LOL.

  • I LOVE the sparkles!!!

  • LOL. Thanks.

  • Excellent!

  • Excellent explaination!

  • excellent elaboration!

  • i thought it was something else.. Lol

  • Your name is Joy?

  • No ???

  • Hey, this didn't show up in my inbox, so could you attach it again? I've noticed they don't attach if you upload it as a response.

And I didn't think you disagreed either just expounded on my own thoughts. thanks. :-)

  • right as i turned this on im like "HER HAIR!" awesome video :D

  • LOL. Thanks.

  • I think you did well on this... It's a tough topic to express clearly.
