  • saw them on 360 but this looks just as amazing in a different way

  • I wished I was a couple of years older so I would've seen this in person. But, had the unfortunate disadvantage of a curfew.

  • No one's probably gonna read this, but I’ll say it anyway cuz I feel at least 1 person will. I'm a young designer and graffiti artist, I know there's a million out there but I feel like my art has a unique individual style.

If you just take a min and give me a chance I'll make you a believer. I would love nothing more than to have a loyal following on youtube. If anyone who reads this could press the "THUMBS UP" others will see it. Just a simple button push will make a huge difference.

  • Would kill to have been able to see this. Fuck you U2

  • Why can't we get Fly back? Him and MacPhisto were great alter egos. Zoo TV looked like the best tour ever. Too bad I've only been to 360 and that they've only been to Argentina during Popmart and Vertigo tours.

Why can't we go back in time?

  • Zoo T.V. has got to be the best tour ever. I enjoyed 360 but this is just awesome.

They found their sound and style when they did Achtung Baby.

  • @Achtungworld1

I agree . The stage of the ZooTV tour was just mindblowing, I saw it in Belgium along with 80thousand friends . I remember that after the concert I was a bit 'numb', you know ? It was just TO MUCH to take it all in, my head was spinning, really . I also directly knew that I've witnessed something unique, something that no other band EVER would overpower, yeah, ZooTV, my best live-experience .. !!

  • @bonavox11 Loving your channel name, I have seen that shop in Dublin. Love Zoo TV and always will.

  • Well, if you're going to sing then I'm going to play guitar!!!- Bono.

  • U2's Gansta days!!! :-)

  • I grew up on this band, ever since I could remember I would always pop this VHS tape in. I have my awesome mom to thank for my musical taste.

  • @musefan09 I bet my mom had made me listen to U2 when I was younger :P

  • God, just amazing! Zoo TV is one of the largest tours in the world and the best of all U2 tours! need more zootv today! need to go back to these times!

  • Wish I was old enough to go to one of their Zoo TV tour concerts

  • Spooked1oo, I am not sure what you were expecting but to me this is a very strong live performance. It's not just the visuals, this live version of this song sounds much better to me than the studio version of The Fly. it has a much more gritty sound to it live.

  • I'm a massive U2 fan, but this performance seemed kinda weak...

  • achtung baby re-release on october 31st FTW!

  • Here are some additional messages I picked up from this video, " Just Do Me ", " Home Sweet Home ", " Who cares ", " What a human being you turned out to be ", " Kids Bloody Kids ".

It's amazing how prophetic this video was with regard to information overload. Nowadays we have texting, tweeting, sexting, Iphones, Ipods, etc, everything and anything to convey more information.

  • I love Zoo TV Tour !!!

    The Edge is genius !!!

  • Damx, this song and video sure has grown on me, i watch it at least once a day. I guess it's just the mean guitar playing and the mean drumming. They were sure at their best in this video.

  • The Fly by U2...Great song ever. Exceptional Audiovisual Concept....Everything you know is wrong!

  • @zachguitar0386 That was really impressive!

  • ESTA ES UNA DE LAS MEJORES CANCIONES DE U2

  • @ivvara

Pienso que ES la mejora ;)

  • That's a pretty good tune considering the name of the song is " The Fly ".

  • EVERYTHING YOU KNOW IS WRONG

  • taste is the enemy of art!!!

  • @bkzo82 Awards and money are the enemies of art

  • @bol316 Every artist is a cannibal, every poet is a thief.

  • Zoo tv was the Woodstock of the nineties, without drug excesses

the zootv and the following Zooropa tour set the standard for how rock and roll show could be done, you got the money, why sit on it, spend it, take the leap and go for it...... zoo tv was a great risk financial, but hey you got risk something to get somewhere, zoo tv was a brave thing, in the end the tour broke even,,, but it was a fun ride, right?

  • Has anybody noticed that if you pause the flashing words at 1:53 you get 666?

  • @dtowndee214 lol your right it is 666!

  • @dtowndee214 the entire video has secret messages that only found if you pauses the video such "the future is a sex fantasy"

  • this shit is so much better than rebecca black or whatever shit that is!

  • I went to both Dallas shows. Best concert tour ever

  • A hundred thousand googles of kisses for these brilliant souls !!!!......from my band.....THE WORLD !

(The World-"Break The Silence" new CD out now !....and on Youtube )x

  • maaannnn, is it justg me or does bono look well fine in his fly persona?? hehe

  • at 3:18 edge lip sync fail... he leaves the mic to soon...

  • @diegomansi Nah U2 never lip-sync.

  • i <3 rnr

  • this is rock and roll!

  • THIS IS ROCK AND ROLL1

  • on 29th February 19 years ago (today is 1st March) was Zoo TV Opening Night

  • @MsMacPhist0 ..a musical show that created an image of wall to wall non stop instant communication prophetic?

  • IT'S YOUR WORLD YOU CAN CHARGE IT.

  • Grande musica!

  • this sound is ,,,,,,,,....

  • I need 18 bullets ..

  • If I had a time machine and could go back just once, I think this concert, Vancouver 1993 would be the one. I know, the lottery, the horses, all that...no this would be it.

  • everything you know is wrong.....

  • ZooTV, the point of no return...

  • The era of information coming up, I think they were very smart in transmitting that at the begging of the 90's , remember there was no internet , no social networks. New generations should check this up, instead latest U2 albums because they get a wrong idea of the band. They were a fucking great band!

  • What a barrage .What a sound! I can feel the ground move...

  • "Bon Appetit.......Fatty."

  • The stage was so big, it needed aircraft warning lights

  • WATCH MORE TV

  • This song (and the whole concert) has got more rock n roll then Elvis ever had .. !!!

  • EVERYTHING YOU KNOW IS WRONG!!!

  • u2 should do a zoo tv tour again ....

  • If i knew the people who pushed the 'not like' button, I would be a serial killer ..

  • I'd like to live in 92, 93 and have the tickets for zoo tv tour. Later I may die.

  • @MsMacPhist0 So me telling you I was at this concert being taped in Sydney and in Melbourne would upset you. One of the best concerts I've ever seen.

  • love it

  • Ah I wish I could've gone to one of these shows, they look so, energetic and fun.

  • @rockbanddan I went to the ZOO TV tour in Toronto. It was something I'll never forget

  • Achtung Baby = Masterpiece

  • No secret a friend is someone who lets you help. I have no friends. You can hate me now or you can hate me later. I believe in equality, I hate everyone. I am an outcast by condition, probably circumstances and by choice. I cope best by myself. I have two moods. When I open my eyes in the morning its bad, when I run into people its worse. philipnute com

  • The sound quality on this concert is pathetic. They had many other concerts where they had better recording but these idiots release this garbage quality?

    U2 are a rip off

  • @kellykinsellives This isnt the Royal Philharmonic ya know. Theres a huge roaring crowd at this show to deal with. Audiophiles can be so annoyingly fussy i swear.

  • BeLIEve that Zoo TV was the best tour ever

  • I liked this guitar better , better then the acoustic modeling thing he seems to use on all the other live versions..

  • That crowd responded to that like nothing else. I just saw a U2 concert tonight and Bono payed tribute to John Lennon 30 years to the day since his death. The world was robbed of a soul we could all relate to.

  • F... I never seen that before?!

    WOOOOOW!!!!

  • @zghfrd

it changed my life. apart from that, this moment of the show was pure art (and so zoo tv was). neither craft nor talent. there's some picasso stuff in here somehow. i agree with darklordrandy, U2 at their peak.

  • u2 gli unici ad essere avanti con la tecnologia e per la musica che fanno gli altri nn arriveranno mai sono unici al mondo . The best in the world

  • @candelise I think it depends on the song they're playing to be honest. On this, yes, as you can hear the tambourine loop, same for Numb. It's more a case of playing along to a specific elelment of a track that is hard to reproduce live. Notice how Larry doesn't have any 'phones in, mind. On tracks like New Year's Day, Sunday Bloody Sunday and Vertigo I don't think they do. How the hell can this be from Nov '93, it looks like it was done last week!

  • saw them for this tour. omFg it's still one of the most awesome things i've ever witness. total sensory overload at its finest!

  • Achtung Baby is very possibly one of the best albums out there. This song is the living proof. But every other song is just as meaningful, personal and experimental.

    Dream out loud!

  • 1000000 million watts baby :) it was LOUD !! So so good leavees ya wanting more... How good is edge like seriously.... dang .

  • EVERYTHING WE KNOW IS WRONG!

    Bingoooooooooooooooooo!

  • Joshua Tree and Achtung Baby 2 different albums 2 classics 2 GOOD

  • Best live concert , I ´ve ever seen in my life !!!

Thanks for all your songs U2 !!!

  • Do U2 really play with a click-track when playing live? Please someone out there tell me!! I have been told this recently. Someone out there must know the truth!!!!

  • @candelise doubt it. I'd ask the person that told you for a source. Bono goes off on to many rants (good thing) for things to be on a click track. It is well timed & rehearsed but that doesn't mean there is a click track. Just means the band & crew put effort into what they are doing.

  • @candelise Yes. As you can see the drummer has hearphones that gives him the click.

But this is necessary in a spectacle like this because you need to be in sinchronicity with the video flux

  • @volkderfreiheitzwei That maybe so, but do U2 always have video flux during every song in concert?

  • @candelise Yes.

Except when they played ANGEL OF HARLEM and STAY (FAR AWAY, SO CLOSE)

It is ALL based on the video flux: this is the reason why the name of the concert was ZOO TV

  • @volkderfreiheitzwei Same for the 'Elevation' tours etc?

  • @candelise Yes.

The drummer has used the "click" since the 1984 Unforgettable Tour.

Unforgettable Fire was an album with a lot of synthetisers in background, so U2 started to add synth bases for the songs but this required a "clicked tempo" to get in synch with both drums and synthetisers

  • Achtung Baby, one of the greatest albums of all time accompanied by Zoo TV, THE greatest rock show of all time.

  • Replace MTV with ZooTV.

    Spread the word.

  • @BonoAndU2 YESYESYESYES

  • @BonoAndU2 ZooTV would actually show us music now and again

  • Turn off Mtv, Bring back Zoo Tv!

  • @BonoAndU2 AMEN.

  • I wonder if anyone has ever tried to make a list all the text in this.

  • @Astbruchgefahr edge has the list in his mind all the time when he plays the song , thats why hes so nuts on guitar :D

  • Take me back to 1992!

  • 14 people got confused and thought they were voting "dis-i-like"

  • @scuz55 loser

  • I love snare sound of Larry. So punk !

  • damn they were good

  • I love Edge's solo in this song....it's so simple but it just WAILS with emotion

  • The Edge has Amazing Vocals at this SONG!

  • They should have retired after this tour. It cannot be topped. Bono's Fly era is iconic and legendary. The first rule of showmanship is knowing not to overstay your welcome and leaving the stage on a high note. I find the current incarnation of U2 flaccid and depressing. This is how they should be remembered.

  • @johnnythunders78 Thank goodness they didn't stop, I saw them live for the first time in 2009. U2 360 was worth waiting for IMO.

  • @johnnythunders78 Obviously their welcome has not been overstayed as they still have a huge audience.

  • i get this song stuck in my head almost every day. I just love this song so much. In my opinion, Achtung Baby is better than anything else any artist or band has ever written.

  • Bono once told Bill Flannigan, "The stage is but an elevator shoe, Bill."

He really has a way with words.

  • adam at 1.57 pumping out the bass

  • chaos in a handbasket....all I can say, is look at the cars hanging from the rafters....;) absolutely amazing show.....

  • @ blood4life885 he's actually even shorter. in fact, 5'6". why is it that all the cool bands have short people??? examples: Matt Bellamy (Muse) 5'8" , Bono (U2) 5'6" and there are alot more!

  • @guywhoonlycomments Eddie Vedder is 5'8".

  • im 5"7 too =D

  • hay algo mejor que esta gente

  • uhn

    great

  • "Everything you know is wrong."

    Damn right.

  • So fucking awesome.

  • rock and roll immortality

  • All hail Bono, King of the ZOOs !

  • NAPAL EME MATAAAA

  • THE BEST TOUR EVER!!!

You simply got to love the Fly's look, and nothing's better than Mr MacPhisto.

Zoo TV, the most revolutionary, crazy and brilliant tour ever.

    U2 RULES!

    Achtung Baby ROCKS!

    Zoo TV FOR EVER!

  • BONO IS GOD!!!!

  • L'album était déroutant mais excellent !

  • Hey guys, there is the High Quality version of this video up on Youtube too. Just search "Zoo Tv The Fly HD" and click on the second answer. The picture is so much better.

  • everything you know is wrong...watch more tv

  • Bono is so so so cute i love he

  • achtung baby is epic. a point of a career you cant reach ever again. like zo tv was too ... which does not mean i dont love the 360 tour :D

  • i hate view this video because everytime it ends, i dont know where's my head.

  • My tastes are generally confined to heavy metal and blues-rock but that said, Achtung Baby is still the greatest album ever made in my opinion.

  • This is U2 kicking the world right in the crack of its ass.........

  • Suffering a bit of envy bigdinger Only people with envy will post that !!!!!! best Live band EVEr !!!!! Go see them live and it will change yur mind !!!! Achtung BAby every track Is Inspirational !!!

  • why do people like U2? If only bono wasn't a complete dunce

  • @blgdinger3 Because their music is amazing.

  • 2:23 2:30 bono's acting doing something that looks like david byrne's once in a life time dance lol.

  • U2 at their peak. Best tour in rock n roll history and after 18 years I'm still waiting for someone (including U2) to beat it. Everything you know is wrong !!!!

  • U2's best era was 1987-1993 six years of fantastic music and I'm thankful for those amazing albums

  • Indeed God is not a giver of guilt. nether does God condemn The religions that have supported it were also bad to their neighbor the gay, zoosexual, third gender, and furry and others as well. Loving your neighbor whoever they are ,and doing unto others what you would want others to do unto you produces harmony with Christ in you.. Then when eternity occurs in our fathers house harmony will continue on forever.

  • THE BEST CONCERT EVER !!!

  • Evolution is over.

That´s gotta be it. If good Bono says it, it must be true. XD

  • liar wont believe anyone else!

  • EVERYTHING YOU KNOW IS WRONG! That phrase is what it´s all about.

  • what does he say at around 2:20?

  • Achtung Down Under.

  • Man

1991 was a BRILLIANT year for music

Michael Jackson's Dangerous, U2's Achtung Baby, Guns N' Roses' Use Your Illusion I & II, INXS played Wembley lol

  • yes it was :D

  • @GPFlicks you forget the razors edge, by AC/DC, but the rest is corect

  • 1991 was the last great year in music without anydoubt....Nirvana's "Nevermind," Pearl Jam's "TEN," Metallica's "Black Album," REM's "Out of Time," RHCP's "Blood Sugar sex and Magik" U2's "Achtung Baby, MJ's "Dangerous", Dre Dre's "The Chronic",....and MORE.....those albums were very popular/ influcence the music we listen to today! I MISS THE 90's :-(

  • This was U2 at their peak. Acthung Baby is nothing short of brilliant

  • @darklordrandy I agree--they were at the top of their creativeness

  • agree 200%

  • it's no secret at all.

  • I've come around to the same conclusion. As much as I try to find another period of U2 that is "better" or "great"... they peaked here. The first eight tracks of Acthung Baby are unmatched.

  • @samj329 all 12 are!!!!

  • @samj329 All tracks on Acthung Baby are unmached.

  • @samj329 Ultraviolet and Love is Blindness aren't too shabby either.

  • @darklordrandy .. at their peak??.. think they've been at their peak for the last 25 years!!! XD

  • @darklordrandy U2 don't have a peak, they have been rising since 1980, their peak is always the present, even the sky isn't the limit for them, that's why they Built a spaceship called The Claw :)

  • @darklordrandy I could not agree anymore, I have every CD and vinyl that U2 have ever made and Achtung Baby for me is the best !!

  • Do you know, yesterday I brought that 'U2 singles' album, because it was cheap and I like some of the tracks that appear on the later albums that I don't have. After I brought it I started to hum 'The Unforgettable Fire', though it ISN'T on the album... ZzzZZZZZZZZZzzzzzzzzzzz

I guess you could say I like and appreciate much of U2's stuff, loved the idea of Zoo TV, but I am not a die-hard fan. S O R R Y (I can only listen to 'Magnificent' on NLOTH)

  • did you know that Bono is only 5 ft 7in tall?

I'm 5 inches taller and yet i will always be looking up to him. What an amazing band

  • @blood4life885 Bono's shorter than than. 5'6" max, though he hovers around 5'5". Also, get better idols lmao.

  • @yassymeeny

    who gives a shit

    he's faithfully married

    nuff said

  • @BonaDun yeah, i guess you're right. it's just wierd for me because i'm a basketball player so the average height around me is about 6'4" or 6'5", so i'm used to being the shorty (i'm 6' even)

height doesn't matter though. the size of the heart far out weighs the size of the body

  • I hear that's considered average in Ireland

  • @blood4life885 he has quite a stage presence for a 5'7'' guy!!!

  • @blood4life885 What do you mean ''only 5ft 7in'' ,speaking as someone who is only 5ft 8in tall, if we ever meet you'll be looking up at me from a bloody pool!

Only joking, just sensitive is all

  • @MrFlatmint ...okay

  • @blood4life885 Is he really that short?

  • @mmkaviator Have you got a problem too?

Did you not read what was written?Aren't you afraid?
