I like Taiwan version because if I compare to the Manga Hana Yori Dungo. they seemed portray and carried the original character the most. Especially, the main girl "weed or grass girl" is the type of the girl that have her motto "give back what you get"and kick you right back and nerver give up. The Korean girl is too cute and act too passive is kinda annoy me. she should be just plain cute and strong compassion. That is just my opinion toward the original Manga which I like the strong girl.

well first of all the original manga, and anime is amazing! this is what got me into shojo in the first place. for the live dramas ive seen hana yori dango, and boys over flowers... i like the lead girl in HYD better... i feel the BOF lead girl is a little over the top with her facial expressions... but i think BOF follows the original story better. :) so over all i choose BOF :)

HYD◆◆◆ -looks: 6 -story line: 10 -acting: 10 -overall flow: 10 BOF◆◆◆ -looks: 9 -story line: 5 -acting: 3 -overall flow: 3 MG◆◆◆ -looks: 7 -story line: 5 -acting: 7 -overall flow: 4 ---------------------- I tried to put my bias opinion aways and just focus on MAIN points. I'd say HYD wins. There were fewer episodes, but it got the main stuff in without many boring parts compared to the others. I'd reccomend this first and MG second because it was original and stuck to the manga.

@winii4eva Lol! I almost didnt watch Hana Yori dango because i thought that they were all ugly, but trust me, in the first 10 min of the 1st episode you will be drawn in. HYD may not have really hot guys, but it kind of makes it seem more realistic plus the acting was amazing and the story flowed better than the rest. HYD is stil my favorite drama, way worth watching =)

It's been years and MG is still #1 and unbeatable... I didn't say this because MG is originally the first one came out but because their acting show more expressions and emotions... When I watch it I feel as if I am living and feeling what they are feeling.... I didn't feel that strong for the other two versions... For this reason it it why MG attracted so many viewers when it first came out... BOF and HYD didn't even go near it... Just you know I am not trying to offend anyone .
Let's just all thanks the Japanese Manga writer of this which is Yoko Kamio. I had watched the three different versions of F4, all of them have different techniques to capture the heart of viewers but for me HYD is the best version. I love the way they act and the scenes was very unforgettable...I sincerely express my gratitude to Yoko Kamio for creating this manga story that turns into Live Action Drama..HYD gO!! Ganbatte!!
um..Kudos to taiwan for making it first. I really liked the first season. Like..to the point where I became a fan of F4 (since they eventually became a band). I don't like the second season at all. The cred goes to Korea for having the best looking cast, and they managed to add some refreshing twists. The Japanese version has the best acting. I should point out that all three Rui's are sooo good looking! LOVE hyun joong, vic, and shun!!

and from the very first time i got SO ADDICTED in a drama that i watch it over and over again, i've been addicted to a kdrama once, which i watch many times as well but no comparison on the times i hve watch HYD. and then BOF came, and i give it a shot for the sake of fairness, from the very 1st ep I was disgusted, i even say "oh my, BOf made me love HYD more" coz d version sucks but i still try my hardest to finish the drama.and then i gave my verdict,that's fairness isnt it?

all of them is very good but for me Boys Over Flower is the best!!! because the casts of boys over flower is so hot, handsome, and all the songs they play in the scene is very suitable..i like it so much..u must watch it..so that you can understand what im say for...

Meteor Garden maybe the first one, but it's not that impressive..
Boys Over Flowers maybe the latest, but it's acting is fairly good.. the story revolve more on Ji hoo-Jandi love story than the love triangle..

japan version is much better than the rest,...........you won't know untill you watch all three of them..............first even i didn't wanna watch it.........buut after a while i found it more good and funnier than korean version although the boys aren't as good looking as the korean ones.........i liked it more..............it's good.<3

If Jang Geun Suk accepted the role of Jun Pyo and if Hye Sun wasn't cast as Jan Di then maybe BOF had a chance of beating HYD.
Oh wait nvm.. I forgot HanaDan was unbeatable. :)

@winii4eva Lol! I almost didnt watch Hana Yori dango because i thought that they were all ugly, but trust me, in the first 10 min of the 1st episode you will be drawn in. HYD may not have really hot guys, but it kind of makes it seem more realistic plus the acting was amazing and the story flowed better than the rest. HYD is stil my favorite drama, way worth watching =)

@samoasian Hana Yori Dango is the japanese version. Its amazing! My favorite version and the acting was amazing lol! Meteor garden was the taiwanese version. You can find that version on youtube but you'll have to watch hana yori dango on mysoju.com =)

@anime0pop thanks alot for replying. you're awesome! i'm so behind with all this drama series. just found about k-drama through a friend a month ago. i started watching meteor garden on youtube a day ago but then i got bored. i'll check out the japanese version since you mentioned "it's amazing". the fact is, i'm not from those countries but i hope they know that other people from other cultures are interested in watching their drama series :)

Im from america but it was last summer where i acidents hit a link to hana yori dango and thats how i got myself into drama's and asian culture =) Yeah meteor garden was boring, you wern't missing out on much, but HYD and BOF are one of the drama's people will always remember and watch. But i'v seen tons of drama's since then so if you're ever curious you can just ask me =)

It's been years and MG is still #1 and unbeatable... I didn't say this because MG is originally the first one came out but because their acting show more expressions and emotions... When I watch it I feel as if I am living and feeling what they are feeling.... I didn't feel that strong for the other two versions... For this reason it it why MG attracted so many viewers when it first came out... BOF and HYD didn't even go near it... Just you know I am not trying to offend anyone .

Let's just all thanks the Japanese Manga writer of this which is Yoko Kamio. I had watched the three different versions of F4, all of them have different techniques to capture the heart of viewers but for me HYD is the best version. I love the way they act and the scenes was very unforgettable...I sincerely express my gratitude to Yoko Kamio for creating this manga story that turns into Live Action Drama..HYD gO!! Ganbatte!!

um..Kudos to taiwan for making it first. I really liked the first season. Like..to the point where I became a fan of F4 (since they eventually became a band). I don't like the second season at all. The cred goes to Korea for having the best looking cast, and they managed to add some refreshing twists. The Japanese version has the best acting. I should point out that all three Rui's are sooo good looking! LOVE hyun joong, vic, and shun!!

please don't get mad at me... Do you believe that we all have different "wants and likes"?...

I'll tell you something i watch MG first, i love it and watch it several times
then after sometime i've seen HYD, in utube ive seen an MV of it and saw these heartwarming scene of Doumyuji and makino in a cabin where they hugged so tight and my heart fell form them from that day on, and got interested to watch HYD

and from the very first time i got SO ADDICTED in a drama that i watch it over and over again, i've been addicted to a kdrama once, which i watch many times as well but no comparison on the times i hve watch HYD. and then BOF came, and i give it a shot for the sake of fairness, from the very 1st ep I was disgusted, i even say "oh my, BOf made me love HYD more" coz d version sucks but i still try my hardest to finish the drama.and then i gave my verdict,that's fairness isnt it?

coz 4 me there is nothing hateful about HYD like what u said u only seen the first part, yes HYD's first ep is not likable enough 4 other pep who are more after the outer appearance of the actors but as its progress u'll gonna say thank goodness i finsihed it up to the end, believe me ur not going to regret it, even if it will not TOP BOF in ur heart atleast ur not going to hate it.

I'm choosing boys over flower (bof) because :
1. F4 in boys over flower is so hot. love lee min ho, hyun joong, kim bum & kim joon so much.them are perfect guy.
2. hyun joong smile is the best.
3. original soundtrack bof is the best especially song like " stand by me sing by my fav. shinee, because i'm stupid sing by killer smile hyun joong, paradise & starlight tears".
so, boys over flower is the best among the best.

Meteor Garden maybe the first one, but it's not that impressive..
Boys Over Flowers maybe the latest, but it's acting is fairly good.. the story revolve more on Ji hoo-Jandi love story than the love triangle..
Hana Yori Dango, for me, is the best because the story was the BEST out of the three, their acting was amazing, and the WHOLE cast was involve in the story, whether they are main characters or supporting..
