why wasnt she made a saint by the catholic church, was it becuase she had tons of money?

We can only speculate as to why the Vatican didn't canonize Evita. But the obvious reason is probably that she wasn't an official representative of the Catholic Church.

@iowntheclough That, and I'm guessing that there are also a lot of open questions about her life. So much negative gossiping is going on about her, despite her undoubted good deeds, and these gossips can't really be proven or refuted...

@Sztriki86 It's mainly because of the musical. The musical is more famous than the historical woman, and it was written from the anti-Peronist perspective.
