  • I'm glad I've come across this video because the words revealed here are really speaking sense into me. I have given my life to God, yet I've found myself taking my eyes off Him and going back to sinful desires that I have been trying to do away with for the past couple of months. Now I know something is wrong with me and I need God's help even more than ever.

  • @4:28 you have it as first Peter, But it is really supposed to be second peter.

    Such a wonderful song though!!!

  • to examine our selves today for me would show there is still to much of my flesh in the way did not see much of the fruit of the spirit i took my eyes off of Jesus and just saw only my problems which made for a long and drawn out day i pray for his forgiveness for being more like the world and less like his child in JESUS name amen

  • this song reminds me of a story a friend of mine told me where 2 separate churches instead of showing him and his girlfriend are wrong and how to make things right they told them they were not allowed to be in their churches but of which were judging instead of teaching. Christ himself would have sat and talked with them and told them to live together without being married is wrong. These churches showed there was no love of Christ in them so no wonder people walk away from church.

  • Thank you, aflameforGod, for sharing this video with us! We are posting it on our music blog project at aanbiddenglorieus.blogspot.com

We love Steve Camp's strong message.

Have you ever heard of Michael Card. There is not enough of his music out there on youtube, we think...if you have ever thought about making videos of his music, we'd like to know. It has been extremely helpful in our walk w/ the Lord.

    Sincerely,

    Jacqueline

  • Wonderful video, and great choice in song. Thank you for posting this.

  • I love this song! So many people have the wrong belief that life stays the same after salvation.....we are a NEW CREATION, when Christ is LORD and SAVIOR, we must allow the Holy Spirit to make us more like Jesus! We surrender to His Lordship completely and He will make the changes and give us desires in our hearts that are pleasing to God! (Ps. 37:4-5) Live for Him because He died for YOU! He Lives and Is Risen, Indeed!

  • Great Video: Steve Camp - Could I Be Called a Christian

Every Christian, regardless of musicical taste, should watch this video. The theme is that we should examine our self and see if we are living the life God called us to, or if we are even really saved! God demands a changed heart: "You must be born again" (John 3:3). If you simply prayed a prayer or go to church and never been truly "born from above", your lost and heading for a sinner's hell! Repent, Jesus IS Returning Soon! R U Ready?

  • Brother David, how I long that everyone who claims Jesus Christ as Lord would see this video and honestly examine themselves to see if they are in the faith. I see no reason why we all should not consider the contend of this video each morning and then ask the Holy Spirit to help us that we may be found about our Father"s business. For Christmas I hope to forward this to the few that I have email and utube accounts for. For if one is put on or brought back to the narrow way what better gift!

  • @Hiscall888 We live in an age where we have a shollow low view of the new birth. We have feeble views on sin and defective views on repentance and true faith. The result is a last days church full of carnality and false converts. We all need to take stock and examine ourselves to see if we are in the faith. We have lost the fear of God.Bro.David.

  • I missed this one! I love this song. Great video and thanks to Studier101 for sharing it with me! It is beautiful! And the lyrics are so true, as is always the case with all of his music, which he bases on the Gospel. Very convicting, very true! Thank you for this one! God bless!

  • This is very excellent!

    Thank you, brother!

I believe it is Steve Camp who wrote the absolutely heart-rending song about Roman Catholicism that plays at the start of Richard Bennett's Bearean Beacon videos (unaffiliated YouTube user BeareanBeacon has the videos).

  • hey lets just face it brothers and sisters we all in trouble with the ALMIGHTY.. it just aint that easy or the race aint to swift to rightousness...

  • what i dont understand is why do christians block there own brothers and sisters in christ for speaking there mind... seems like to me there so blind by there own rightousness they cant evan see there own brothers speaking to them...

  • Brother you make a good point.Everyone has contol over thier own channel and yes we do have different views and cannot see the logs in our own eyes.I admit of having to look at my own motives and at times i need a good serious purging of my faults.

  • well i never block anyone,, i let people speak there peace.. because it helps to learn where they stand...i love the way Jesus never turned his back on no one.. to be like him would be the greatest thing a man could ever accomplish...I guess we all are guilty of that log thang,, need to check me on motives as well... God bless

  • "For there shall arise false Christs, and false prophets, and shall show great signs and wonders; insomuch that, if it were possible, they shall deceive the very elect." (Matt. 24:24).

"if any man preach any other gospel unto you than that all of you have received, let him be accursed" (Gal. 1:9b).

"Not every one that says unto me, Lord, Lord, shall enter into the kingdom of heaven; but he that does the will of my Father which is in heaven." (Matt. 7:21).

  • I wrote this in response to rustydusty40, but now his comments are gone. Did he remove them?

  • a truely beautiful song, praise Jesus

  • praise the Lord

  • 1 Peter 3:15-17

But sanctify the Lord God in your hearts: and be ready always to give an answer to every man that asketh you a reason of the hope that is in you with meekness and fear:

16 Having a good conscience; that, whereas they speak evil of you, as of evildoers, they may be ashamed that falsely accuse your good conversation in Christ.

17 For it is better, if the will of God be so, that ye suffer for well doing, than for evil doing.

    KJV

  • What a great song I have not heard before. I think I should start each day listening to this and pray for strength to live as the Lord wants me.

  • rustydusty40, that's a new one to me, I'm intrigued and would like to hear how you think that's possible (to be "born again" but not a Christian), not to get into an argument, but just so I'll understand that unbiblical viewpoint, thanks.

  • People like Todd Bentley and similar, should be imprisoned and this song should be played to them for months and years :-)

  • This song and video reminds me of some of the things Keith Green used to sing about. It is all so true and we need to pay attention to the example we put forth to this world in which we live. We each are a living witness for our living God. It is all about Jesus and we at times lose sight of the vision He has given us and that is to share HIS life changing message. May God continue to bless your effort in the up coming year. Your videos are so needed and I look forward to each new one.

  • Awesome video! Awesome song! This is so true in the Church today, we aren't living for Christ anymore, but for ourselves. Sad. :(

This is much needed for all of us, to wake us up! God bless! 5*s and a favorite!

  • Amen, 5* FAVORITE. Ask yourself; Do you really love JESUS with all of your heart, soul, mind and strength? Does your life refect that love for Christ? Is He your top priority all the time? Examine your faith...

  • very beautiful and trueful.God Bless you in this ministry.yes repentence is vital.5 stars and fav.peace, love, mary

  • Great video 5 stars! Everyone needs to see this video. We should be like Christ and obey Him always!! Only He can save us from our sins.

  • Have a blessed '09!

    God bless,

    Jim

  • Very beautiful song and video...God Bless you

  • Thank you for sharing this topic of discussion. This is a very hot topic that my husband and I were discussing with another couple. We all agreed with this same fact you brought up. Too many churches are becoming "Country clubs"and slowly worldy behavior is becoming the norm instead of the exception in the church. Repentence is vital!
