  • she is a babe

  • Her grace, musicality, and the flow of all of her movements is simply unmatched. And I loooove that catchfoot! <3 Sasha!

  • Great skater!!!

  • pathetic little rink

  • wowsers!!!

  • =,) so movin'

  • I can't even figure out how to do toe loops on land, much less ice!

  • amazing Sasha!!

  • Amazing..

  • Very pretty and fascinating to watch. The clarity of the high definition video makes it so much better to watch as well. I have always been amazed how figure skaters can make so many complex movements and NOT fall down ! 13barmor hit the nail on the proverbial head in his recent post when he said "Some of the stuff they do defies the laws of physics." LOL Yes ! No kidding ! Thanks TIril for sending this to me. Please stay in touch and stay a TY friend ! ~~~ Chuck

  • amazing spin @1:47! catchfoots have always been used as transition to biellmanns but sasha did it the other way around! amazing! :D

  • Sasha Cohen rocks!!!

  • Beautiful artist

  • sasha has boobs!!

  • 3:11 to 3:12 fits the music PERFECTLY...so exquisite.

  • simply wow. that was amazing. there is something so beautiful about every aspect of that preformace it took my breath away. her artestry is incredible and her technique was impecable. spectacular preformance i wish her the best and hopefully we'll see somthing like this at the olympics i am keeping my fingers crossed.

  • i haven't seen her moonlight sonata program at nationals, i can't wait to see it, even though things didn't go as planned

  • It was beautiful :) But at nationals she had many double footings, but she had the most bright smile on her face she has matured over the years

  • This is how I want to remember Sasha's Moonlight Sonata program. This is beautiful.

  • Thanks again for uploading this!

    Just exquisite.♫

C'mon Cohen! Do like that Saturday but in the LP but work that footwork, and above all NAIL THOSE JUMPS!!!!!!

    Sending positive vibes to Sasha.♥

  • When she doesn't crash, nobody can touch her.

    GO SASH!

  • this is simply gorgeous- my comp is slow & kept stopping to load :p, but every time it stopped, Sasha was in a beautiful position! :)

  • That was the prettiest performance by a figure skater I've ever seen. Screw the jumps. This young woman is the best. Fantastic!

  • this performance gives me great hope for nationals.

    Sasha FTW.

She is the most graceful figure skater ever.

  • Ballet on ice. Simply wonderful.

  • Wow. She becomes the music. What a performace.

  • That was the most beautiful spiral I have seen her do...

  • I'm very sad we won't be seeing Sasha at Skate America. This is such a breathtaking program-I would have loved to have seen it in it's competition mode. Perhaps there is a chance we will still see it at Nationals.

  • This is her music for free skate!!

    I am so happy:)

  • I have much respect for figure skaters. Some of the stuff they do defies the laws of physics. It just seems too dangerous for me. I'll stick with ice hockey. We at least wear pads so we don't shatter every bone and rip every tendon when we fall.

  • I should swtich to hockey.... I started skating last year at age 23... too old!!!! Maybe I would have better luck with hockey since I am left-handed and I can def skate fast :-)

plus hockey skates are more comfortable, skating in figure skates is like skating in high heels lol

  • oh believe me, we have pads we wear, just not all the time, and we don't defy the laws of gravity or physics! There is a way to get around them.

  • Sasha withdrew from Trophee Eric Bompard due to tendonitis in her left calf. I hope she'll be fine for Skate America next month. But the wait to see this long program in competition has been torture.

  • amazing

she's the best after all :]

  • Can't wait to see the battle between Yu Na Kim and Sasha Cohen..

They're both wonderful, graceful, gorgeous..who will win the Olimpic games in Vancouver2010??

    We'll see...

  • the queen of spins and spirals.... i cant wait for her... i hope she nails all her jumps in com[etition, then she is unbeatable.... praying for you sasha!

  • does anyone know the date of the eric bompard competition? i cant wait to see sasha's LP to this, unofrtunately being in the UK i'll only see it on Youtube

  • Trophee Eric Bompard Cachemire is early this season, October 15-18. I haven't decided if I will renew my subscription to Icenetwork yet. The lack of figure skating on U.S. TV is deplorable!

  • she's withdrawn from TEB becouse of injury ;((

  • This is a good program for Sasha. Realistically, does she have any chance of medalling at the Olympics? YES! There's a big war brewing between South Korea and Japan. It's incredible how much pressure both Mao Asada and Yu Na Kim are under. If they fail, someone--Joannie, Sasha, or Rachel Flatt--would have the opportunity to step up and shine. I don't know about Sasha's coach Rafael Arutunian, though. I wouldn't be suprised if she changed coaches before Nationals.

  • I didn't make a comparison between the two. All I said was that there was a lot of pressure from their respective countries being placed on both skaters to win, win, win. At Worlds last year, the Korean AND Japanese media were out of control. I thought a war was going to break out during the official ladies practices that I attended.

  • Simply lovely!

  • Such Great Quality! :) Love It

  • Can't wait to see this as a full out program...first competition coming next month!! AHH!!! YAY!

I don't know who to cheer for, Sasha or Joannie ahaha

  • Both ;)

  • Only Sasha Cohen can pull off Moonlight Sonata, made famous by Gordeeva & Grinkov. Interestingly, she's enlisted Lori Nichol. I loved the transition right after the triple loop. The footwork sequence is exciting. It's a slightly morose choice, a dark, brooding, and mysterious interpretation, which is refreshing, after years of stringent balletic expectations. She's as graceful & flexible as ever, with more maturity, in build and character. Really excited to see her progression toward Nationals.

  • Well Shizuka copied Sasha's I-spin (as so many others have) so I guess they're even lol.

  • Sasha didn't t copy Shizuka's ina bauer. There are no striking resemblance of the two.

  • I think this is going to be an amazing long program! She does it beautifully...no one else could pull it off quite like Sasha does. :)

  • I think it's breathtaking as an exhibition. If she hits this in an LP it will surely be something to behold.

  • Terrific crowd at this event-so supportive of the skaters! Sasha did an awesome job with her 'Sonata' skate. :)

  • This is Sasha's time to get the Olympic Gold. Michelle had her time, but its time for Michelle to move on with her life, though she should definitely skate in ice shows to bring her experience back to par after her long absence.

  • ICE SKATING ... ROCKS AND SHE TOO <3

  • What is your problem? Are you on something? Sasha decided to come back and Michelle didn't. Deal with it, move on and take your hate somewhere else.

  • Wow delpa1986-you seem a sad sad sort of soul. Pathetic really. You need to get over it and move on with your life-Michelle did and she seems a very happy person. I don't think she'd think much of 'fans' with nasty comments like yours.

  • Umm.. She won the Grand Prix Final. I'd say that's a major event personally.

  • She beat Michelle in 2003 Campbells Classic. Get your facts right.

There is nothing wrong with Sasha's attitude just because she's attempting a comeback, and believes she can be successful. She's not hurting anyone by trying.

  • Sasha beat Michelle at several events including two world championships. And I would think the fact that she hasn't won an Olympic or world title would be motivation not a deterrent. If she brings the quality of skating she did in this clip to competition then I think she will be a challenge.

  • I love Sasha

  • i sure hope this isn't her LP music. it's goregous, no doubt, but she needs something a little more lively and dramatic. moonlight sonata is almost too soft and lyrical. she'll need something that will grab the judges attention a bit more...it's lovely exhibition piece tho.

  • sasha does well in non competition. competition is always bad skating for her. adding 3-3 wil leave her very tired (all she does in here r salchow). where is michelle kwan??!

  • Michelle Kwan has moved on with her life. She did an exhibition with YuNa two weeks ago and will head to graduate school. Jesus... god forbid Michelle wants to do something other than skating with her life.

  • She and Mao are going to rock this seasson

  • This is so far, the best program I've seen coming from Sasha. Lots of power and grace embraces her in this elegant performance. I am sure Beethoven would have been so proud to have a figure skater that compliments his very own Moonlight Sonata. I am very, very impressed. And best of all, I really, really like it very much.

  • Does anyone know whether or not she is going to use this as one of her competitve programs this upcoming season?

  • I believe that this will be her free skate for the Olympic season and she has IMHO made a wise choice. I wish her well.

  • Thanks for the response. I wish her well also.

  • glad she is back

    we knew she'd come back!

  • Thank you for sharing this.

I see something like fire in those eyes.

  • She looks great, but a lot of work is needed unless she wants a bronze. It is going to be very difficult to catch Kim and Ando,

  • Absolutely amazing! No one can touch her!!!

  • WOW :O she was wonderful :) I cant wait to see her compete again! I loved the spin around 1:50. Just gorgeous :)

  • Wow! That is impressive!!! I can't wait for the Olympics. I wasn't so sure originally, but I really believe she has a chance at getting one of the two US olympic spots. If she lands her jumps at US Nationals, she's unbeatable. She too perfect in every other element to be beaten by any US skater. Yet if her jumps aren't clean, Flatt, Zhang and Nagasu can give her some formidable compeitition. Touching Yuna or even Asada, that might be another matter! This is going to be such an exciting year!

  • Better than ever? So gad she is back. She's better than every other American girl even with only the toe and sal.

  • perfect!!!!

  • i love the spin posisition at 1.48 - absolutely gorgeous!

  • Thank you for the video! Sasha is great, she always beatifull. I love her skating and I think it is the best performance with this programm.

  • Wow. This is a great exhibition program. I'm dying to see the actual long program for the upcoming competitive season. By the way, I wish this television network didn't use those really distant shots where you can see the whole rink. I like to see the skater's technique and expression.

  • It was gorgeous. I wonder if this will be the second half of her LP, or just her SP? If it' s the latter, I expect her to replace the 3t with a lutz-t combination and the 3 sal with a triple flip.

  • Nobody does it better. It's just a question of whether she can keep it together on the biggest stage.

  • She'll always have the "it" factor for me. :)

  • Wow, she looks great! Everything about her skating- jumps, spins and footwork looks better than it did earlier this year. Much tighter and faster. I can't wait to watch her this season. :-)

  • The program is so well executed, and her moves are amazing as always, but she just seems to have less emotion in her skating, her face is so blank, and thats sad.

  • Go Sasha!! She is so beautiful!

  • She has still got 'it' - the wow factor. I love it ! Welcome back Sasha !!

  • I love that first combination spin. It's absolutely incredible. I can't wait to see how this program will be in competition. I hope she keeps that spin, especially the last position.

Also, this is probably the highest-quality video I've ever seen on YouTube =)

  • perfect spiral as always

  • welcome back sasha! and we love u

  • Exquisite!

  • wow...amazing...the jumps are very strong and beautiful...the entrance of the triple toe loop withouth words...the salchaw much better...sasha is the best...i'm feeling that you're going to win the gold medal in vancouver...i love you sasha!

  • I love her first spin combination, and the arch in her back in her final spin is beautiful. I especially love the turn she does after landing her salchow, it's really creative. Something interesting is happening before these moves, and after.

  • I feel so bad...

When she announced her comeback, I thought she wasn't in good shape. But I was wrong! She's much better than before, in my opinion! Her jumps are definately more strong!

  • I kind of wondered too if she still has what it takes but by the looks of the video it seems that the answer to that question is yes.

  • her skating got mature!!! very feminine, no hectic movements as it was earlier.

  • She changed the choreography. I prefer the older version, but she is amazing whatever.

  • Bravo!

  • WOW, she is looking good

  • ohhh, i missed her so much! She's stunning.
