Do you remember how much did those T-Shirts/Bags, etc cost? (by the end of your video). I´m planning a trip to london, and wanted to know some souvenirs prices... more or less.
Thank you, matthewmttyd. I've been lucky in that every Brit I've ever known personally was delightfully polite, as are you. And I use other Americanisms. I say "trunk" of a car, "Long-distance" call, and I ask for a "napkin" at a restaurant. And I used to play crds with a British friend and tease him by saying "Pahss." He always got me right back by saying the more nasal "paass." Even my wife (South African) says "cahn't," while I say "caan't." Cheers, John
i just got back from london, and to you sir a very big thanks for this slideshow. One day we can exchange photo as i took thousand of pictures on my trip. :)

You don't seem to know what you're talking about. Why instill unnecessary fear in people? Why paint London as dangerous?
To everyone who might read this comment . . . I'm a Londoner, born and raised. Have no fear in visiting our grand city. It's remarkably safe for something so big and diverse. Indeed, every culture and community in the world is already here, living in relative piece. We speak over 300 languages, so wherever you're from, you'll be sure to find people of your own.
Sorry, I'm just an ignorant Texan. We call it a subway over here, and I was afraid the average American wouldn't know what the tube was. As for Piccadilly Circus, my bad. Cheers, John
This is pretty good for a Texan. Actually it's better than a lot of British versions which feature young people making silly remarks to each other. I'm sending your video to a Texan gal I know. You missed St Pauls and the Houses of Parliament but you only had ten minutes. Tell you what it's a pity you couldn't have labelled every building and street for my Texan gal and other Americans but I imagine that would be a mammoth task. I can't name some of the buildings myself.
I did some other video slide shows while I was there. Portabello Road. Changing of the Guard. Leeds Castle. Canterbury. Cambridge. The Margate area. We were there two weeks to attend a friend's birthday party. He was 80!
I'm sorry to nitpick, but this sentence bothered me: "These were shot about two weeks before the subway bombs went off in the London tube." There can't be "subway bombs on the tube" it is "The Tube", it isn't "The Subway Called The Tube" so it should be "the bombs went off on The Tube" Also, there is no "Piccadilly" it is "Piccadilly Circus".
2:15 Ain't nothin like a London big mac!.
