People who are caregivers for HIV+ people need to make sure they use proper hand washing technique to minimize the risk of transmitting an infection to the HIV+ person.
Alcohol-based hand rubs have been shown to prevent chapping and also cleanse more effectively. That's why alcohol-based hand rubs, not soap, are used in places like clinics where they want the doctors and nurses to cleanse their hands before touching each patient.
Actually I don't fully agree with what's being sayed here, I am very much against the mainly American attempts (although we in Europe are starting to catch up :() to sterilise the environment. For one is, we're weakening our immune systems, especially if you bring your newborn up in such an environment. Now Im not saying: go role in the mud but... comon dont fight immune diseases by weakening the immune system.
I live here in NYC, and I keep Baby wipes on me whenever I go out, not because of me, but because PEOPLE are JUST NASTY, NASTY NASTY. If I'm going to eat out the first thing I do is go to the restroom in the establishment, I'm not a Howie Mandell, but I've seen first hand how People DON'T WASH THIER hands. Invest in Handkerchiefs, or wipes AND hand sanitizer. All of this can be found in your neighborhood DOLLAR STORE
You can tell she's reading from either cue cards or a telepromter. She doesn't make direct eye contact with the camera (looking slightly above) and it sounds like she's reading from a book XD
It's true that we use a teleprompter. It's also no secret. ;-) The teleprompter enables Becky to get every word correct without having to waste precious time memorizing the script word for word. She's reading a script we've coauthored which is posted online at my web site.
It's true that there's a tradeoff here. Reducing your risk of getting contaminants from touching the faucet requires leaving it on while you grab the towel and dry off. However, when you consider the high cost of getting yourself infected and possibly infecting others and the low cost of water in the developed world, I think that even a social cost-benefit analysis will come down in favor of using the extra water to reduce disease transmission.
here in australia we are in a very serious drought and by telling people to use heaps of water to keep there bacterial germs at bay send the wrong message towards people of australia...ce
