I think we lost to the utes? purely because no matter if we beat the hell out of them or lost we weren't going to win the national championship and neither were they.
That game didn't count, we would of been no better than 3rd if we would of won anyway so that's why I think we didn't play with as much intensity. I was at that game and you could feel that after the first drive they had it was going to be a long night because our secondary looked like they lost a step or 50.

The coach at Iowa State before Chizik averaged like 7 or 8 wins a year starting in 2000. he had like 5 or 6 winning seasons, so yes, people do win at ISU
Utes were ok i really contribute the win to the lack of focus and lack of an o-line the utes RE was good and we had in our true freshman 3rd string LE so JP being a crapy qb couldnt do anything.Ide say that Florida on that day coulda blown them out or Alabama before the end of the regular season...BTW any auburn fans or florida fans cant talk because auburn got killed and florida was a close game...
