like AVGN has said it has it's flaws but it's still a great castlevania game with memorable music and challenging gameplay. the only thing l didn't like about this game is that you have to buy items and weapons with hearts that just makes the game tedious.

@1shoryuken this is a great game, but it definently isn't hard!!! you continue in the exact place you died at when you are killed! and all the bosses you can simply walk past, well, except dracula, but he pretty much stands in three spots and let's you wham on him.

I am really looking forward to Castlevania: Lords of Shadow. First current gen CV title? Kojima directing? win in my book, plus from what I've seen of the character designs, it's a nice blend of Eastern and Western art influences which is nice...but I do prefer Ayami Kojima's beautiful artwork.

I partially agree with you. The game wasn't terrible, but it wasn't as good gamewise as CV1 or CV3. I was pretty bummed when I beat it in less than a week.

I just transcribed the bass line for this tune...talk about a sassy strolling groove! The composers who worked at Konami in the 1980s were total geniuses at their craft. This along with Gradius, Salamander, Goonies II, Jackal, the other Castlevania games, and the Contra series make up some of the best music in my life.
