@mukhsanain use Google chrome or Firefox and get a adblock plugin for which internet software you choose to use. I recommend Google chrome but if you like Internet explorer pick Firefox as it has its similarities to IE

New Build, need Help! These are my components..M.B. (Ausus Rampage Extreme 3), CPU (i7 980x Extreme), RAM (3x2gb OCZ Plat edit), SSD (OCZ 60gb Vertex 2), G.C. (Saphire ATI Radeon HD 5850), P.S. (CoolerMaster Silent Pro Gold 1200W), O.D. (BDR 205 Blue Ray), K.B. (Logitch G19), M (Logitch G9x), Monit (Samsung PX2370 LED), Chas (Coolermaster Cosmos S). I connect SSD onto red 6gb sockets on MB, & adjust bois setting as AHCI. My SSD reads as external Drive, WHY? I want it to read as normal Sata Drive

Just got this board today. Looks amazing, but I'm curious as to why you'd want to alter settings using a laptop right next to it? Isn't this software available for the computer you're using, so you don't have to go through the BIOS?

And do these changes save to the bios?

@nitronick389 You need the slave system to be able to alter the bios. Its a bit of a mine feild trying to stabley change the BIOS from within windows on the same system. It does work very well with connect and is a great tool.

@TimeToLiveCustoms Ah I understand. I was just curious. So using ROG connect with a laptop, I can make the clock and voltages changes, and they'll stay permanent? Or should I just write down the clocks and voltages I set and do it in the bios manually?

Also, what's the extent of control of it in terms of disabling/enabling features and settings you can do in the BIOS? Should I do those first, then OC with ROG connect after I've fine tuned the other settings?

what is that rack that you used to assemble the computer? is that what you use for maximum air cooling? is it for diagnostics only? or just an interesting new mod?

would you "not advice" setting up like that for the regular user? it looks like it would be good for water cooling because you can easilly monitor the tubes for leaks etc... and easy access to the board's buttons.

I'll be getting an Asus Rampage III Extreme along with an I7 980x - will it be possible to load the updated bios for this chip onto a usb drive and use the ROG connect?

@Sast06 It should boot fine with a 980x. Worst case it will tell you to update but it will still enable you to install an operating system and download the update.

Thats absolutely phenomenal! (trubritar)....but obviously there will be the know it all's who call this a fail and completely useless but those people just dont have the passion like others who welcome new ideas and i commend asus for this, but of course there will be flaws but its all part of the process. Its not full EATX, its just 1 inch wider than a normal motherboard. It will fit into most Mid size cases, just open up your case and see if theres an extra inch width over your current mobo.

I have two 5770s to go onto this board once its released, the original mini 5870 shroud ones :)

I were using custom coolers on them, now I just stuck the shroud coolers back on because they will look awesome with this motherboard.

Sadly, I cant afford the nice ram with red heatspreaders, but I have 12 Gb of Geil 2133 mhz sticks to play with. They were unboxed OEM sticks for just £75 per pair, and just have plain silver heatspreaders.
