Took me about 2 hours to kill the first boss the first time I saw it. Thought I would never beat it.

Wow, thanks for this. Wish I had known you had to have something special for the 2nd boss, or I wouldn't have wasted so much time trying to fight it without it.

The first time I fought both bosses, I could have sworn it took me 4 hours.

And I thought I had it rough, lol! By the time the octopus/squid thingy broke free, my troops were waiving the white flag-surrender! XD

When the octopus broke out of the statue the first time I was playing it, I was waving the white flag.

Did this battle take place after you got to do the bonus island that you get if you find all the gems? Because I never found them all and I'm not able to make any progress with the enemy at all. Is is really possible if you don't find all the gems?

Getting 100% gems only unlock the secret Guardian Moon. You can access the final battle with or without 100% gems. It just makes the final battle a little easier by going to Guardian Moon and solving all the puzzles on that place.

That was interesting - I have been in this same battle for quite awhile. I don't have time to repair everything but I watched your video so I think I will start again but with more shamen and put my towers around the 2 purple things.
