we wore ours out in the kids room, we're ordering a new one. this one lasted about 3 years. after replacing the cooling fan, the gears finally wore out.

I have an 18 foot vaulted ceiling and it is fairly incredible. For the few that have problems, did u read the page that says not a good idea to leave it on for more than 4 hours.

pretty dumb how the centre 9 stars form a square grid that spins slowly.

@CabbageRollemmmm True to that, is clearly multi square grid spinning into each-other. which kills it. Although it will still amaze kids. Over all, i still find it pretty cool, with the blue nebular looking really good. i really really want a pro star projector tho. anyone know where i can find one?

I had bought one of these like 2 years ago and returned it after a couple of weeks. It actually worked really nice. I had it projecting on a ceiling that was 35 ft long by 15 ft wide. I was impressed that it covered every inch of the ceiling. For those who own one, if you watch closely you'll actually see a shooting star every few minutes. At the time I paid $140 at "Spencers" but now I see it on Amazon.com for under a $100. Thinking about repurchasing or buying the Laser theater same price

Don't get your hopes up to high, if you're looking for a real representation of a galaxy, this is not it. At first glance its indeed awsome but after a few minutes of observating you begin to notice a few irritating details. In the middle of the projection there's a anoying bright star at fixed position with 6 stars circling around it in fixed pattern. The rest of the projected stars seem to go in every direction wich is also not really realistic. But actually they also only move in big circles!

I have never commented on a commercial product before, but I bought one of these for a Christmas and it is astounding!

It looks better w/ the nebula turned off, so the laser lights are more bright and crisp. The best thing is the stars randomly swarm in different directions at different speeds, rather than rotating in a circle. (except for a few bright ones in the middle) Like thousands of glowing ants crawling on your ceiling!

Its so awesome i ordered another one for myself.

yeah you can lol, i used a cheap solution to do that with a deoderant can haha its nothing amazing when using smoke thought to see the beams, it kind of ruins the whole effect
