What kind of video is this? It start with the car's already driving so who knows what happend. A friend of mine had a near stock Gen2 Viper against a GT500 and the race was alot closer then that. Then agin that's a supersnake so if the Viper was stock then it's somewhat understandable.

Muscle mustangs had a supersnake 725hp and all they did was put drag radials and it did 10.78 @ 134mph in the 1/4. The numbers I gave you previously were from a seperate tester but I now have found faster yet. Do the math and you will see it is fat but still has better power weight ratio. Look it up instead of trying to call me out. lol.

I believe I have heard of 10 second vettes in stock trim but I also know the trap of the z06 is 9mph short of the 725hp supersnake. The Snake has trouble hooking even with e/t streets. The vette is a superior car but it is not quicker than the super snake.

@aarontiernan most i heard of on a 5.4 stock internals is 1900 and ya the 7.0 liter on stock internals would got that high but if you sleeve the cylinders and put better rods and pistons in it will but i'd rather use the lsx block the gt uses a 4.6 that will not make 2000 hp the new 5.0's are a very complicated motor and imo to much trouble to mess with

I would not be ready to use the new 5.0 on a tough test yet either. The 5.4 block is amazing though and has been on wards 10 best engines more than once for the V-8 category. Guys are ringing them out to 380 cubes and building them to 3500hp 6 second cars.

Look up 2009 gt500 and it is doing 12.7-12.9 stock, same as the 04 cobra that it replaced. Why would they make the gt500 slower than the cobra it replaced? and 40 hp isn't going to take off a second on the 1/4 mile time. and for the gt, look up 2010 gt vs 370z and it has the proven actual 1/4 times.
Lol not at all, the 2010 has a total gear change both differential and range. Also larger cams (hints the decrease in mileage). And I'm not 100% but I think there's a weight difference aswel.

What kind of video is this? It start with the car's already driving so who knows what happend. A friend of mine had a near stock Gen2 Viper against a GT500 and the race was alot closer then that. Then agin that's a supersnake so if the Viper was stock then it's somewhat understandable.

@heyybii Actually the times you are quoteing are for the 600+hp super snake not the 725+supersnake. Muscle mustangs had a supersnake 725hp and all they did was put drag radials and it did 10.78 @ 134mph in the 1/4. The numbers I gave you previously were from a seperate tester but I now have found faster yet. Do the math and you will see it is fat but still has better power weight ratio. Look it up instead of trying to call me out. lol.

@camirocz I have stated before there is nothing to be proud of a mustang that weighs 3850lbs. But there is a reason to be proud of the power potential of this car. I believe I have heard of 10 second vettes in stock trim but I also know the trap of the z06 is 9mph short of the 725hp supersnake. The Snake has trouble hooking even with e/t streets. The vette is a superior car but it is not quicker than the super snake.

@dankebuddha Ford GT not mustang GT, I said it uses the GT motor which I have seen 2300hp for the standing mile record car on t67 turbos. Cast Iron will win the war in this case of power handled. I would not be ready to use the new 5.0 on a tough test yet either. The 5.4 block is amazing though and has been on wards 10 best engines more than once for the V-8 category. Guys are ringing them out to 380 cubes and building them to 3500hp 6 second cars.

lol geez for one all of you stop reading magazines...too much conflict in here and most magazines drivers suck at driving...I have a 07 gt500(stock) and with drag radials it's gone 11.9's @ 116 the fastest on stock tires I have seen is 12.2's the 2010 since it basically the old KR motor will run 11's easily with a good driver and should be around 11.5's or so @ 120+ with drag radials

It's the same fucking car, slight suspension change, and interior and body panels, the only difference motor wise in 40 hp due to a cold air intake from the gt500 kr. 2010=540 2009=500. Look up 2009 gt500 and it is doing 12.7-12.9 stock, same as the 04 cobra that it replaced. Why would they make the gt500 slower than the cobra it replaced? and 40 hp isn't going to take off a second on the 1/4 mile time. and for the gt, look up 2010 gt vs 370z and it has the proven actual 1/4 times.

Lol you're clueless. The GT500 weighs 2tons if I'm not mistaken, or, 200lbs. While an 08 SRT-10 weighs 3400lbs lol. Underpowered? you've got it backwards. Viper has more power and less weight. I don't think the Super Snake weighs any less, certainly not 500lbs less. And if I'm not mistaken, 2nd gen vipers weigh evel less... better car bahaha

the gt500 weighs around 4000 lbs with 725 hp a second gen viper weighs around 3400 and has 600 hp. so the viper weighs less and its putting down at least 125 hp less. GT500 Supersnake will always make a viper look like a second class car. GT500 SuperSnake > Viper ANYDAY.

Ok dude, lets look at it from a performance aspect. An 08 viper can run 10's completly stock, the GT5000 Supersnake runs mid 11's even with that extra 125 HP. 08 and up vipers beat Supersnakes in EVERy aspect of performance, its hard to swallow but vipers shit on them. Though I'd still love to have one.

What is the 0-60 time of the shelby gt500 super snake? I think ford svt shelby got it all wrong they should of dropped the weight of the cars 500-600lbs. Ford through all the years is known to add hp but and weight to me that just doesnt make sense. Just because its a muscle car it doesnt have to be heavy this is not the 60s or 70s

no actually when you add the super snake package to your shelby they modified your car ,supercherd,stripes,etc and take some weight off to be an exact 725 hp but the SS package cost 20,000$
