Really nice gear particularly like the sleeping bag you have there Im a hammock chap but I know we all have our own ways at times and they are all valid as long as we get outdoors..
Tinny, you may have to do voice overs for anything that isn't close to the camera OR start using an external mic. The sound IS better but still sub par. I love the videos, and find all kinds of interesting ads but adjusting the volume enough to hear is a real problem when the next video almost blows out the windows when I forget to readjust. Many people (myself included) browse youtube on large screens in a media room or "theater" if you will. Thanks for all the great videos, CHEERS!
@digitizer101 The tube that holds the roof is not as long as the sections of the main tube when folded, but this is the most bulky part to pack--They measure about 20 inches
Yeah, the sound is much better. when you have a tent like this one that requires stakes, how to you stake it when the ground won't take stakes (too rocky or the dirt is so sandy that the stakes just pull out)? I'm a newbie and need some tips. Thanks!
@cacheclown This tent is almost always pitched free standing with two hiking poles. It is designed to do that. They are installed in two pockets and spread, then I anchor the tent with a few rocks on top of the poles
Hi Tinny, Could you post the name of the tent? I'm interested in something like it for my dog to carry. I use a hammock, but he's not a very good hammock camper. We usually set up a tarp for him, but could share a tent with him if the weather is bad.
@leetshots The front has the vestibule pulled back. If you look at the video ,the front when closed ,is the same as the back and it has two doors one for each vestibule
Mountain Laurel Design Duo Mid in cuben fibre is 12 oz or in grams its - 340 grams !
add a few oz for an inner net and you are good to truly go ultra lightweight
This tent weighs over 1kg +

i like your sound bite "get out and hike" its better then "bring a friend" or "enjoy some great meals" or "have a great day"
"Get out and hike" is just super classy thats all.

Am I wrong, or did you just advocate using a stove inside of a tent?
I hope Im wrong, and it was just a bad camera angle.
MrBillTroop73 1 year ago
If you put some Whoopie Slings on that tent you would have a pretty good hammock!

Looking at the tents website I think you may have the Rainbow not the Rainbow 2.
I really like the way you can use the treking poles to not have to use stakes.
Thanks for the video

Funny, I was just wondering a few days ago if you still had the Rainbow 2 or had moved on to something else.
