  • wow, he was really huge! nice to see a proof of the real marley

  • @megafang11 that is a really depressing story! I have a brown lab crossed with Springer and I tried to teach he to lie down today and she ended up knocking me to the floor!

  • r.i.p the book is very very sad

  • That crazy son of a bitch . . . my aunt also has a nutcase dog, but she is much more obedient now. I used to call her Marley when she was tiny.

  • Dunno whether it was coincidence or not,but i used to have an untrainable golden lab.Yet again,i dunno whether it was coincidence or not,but he had to be put to sleep after eating a bone or something and it got lodged in his intestines.RIP Maxwell.

  • So wonderful that this exists. That we can see the dog that so many have come to love. To see the real thing. Even if only for a couple minutes. Thank you for posting.

  • i love that stupid little dog ;D -3

  • 0:26 I don't think the tug-of-war with the leash was scripted... :p

  • WTF is this movie about anyway?

    love marley :D

  • Oh my god, he is exactly the way the book described him... drooling and hilarious

  • I have the special book of Marley & Me and it has pics of Marley and the family with him in it but I wanted to see this to see how big he actually was and he's MASSIVE!!!!

  • awww poor marley 2:15 the lady like slammed his head :(

  • OMG Marley is so cute...I can´t belive it when I read his story in the book *Marley & me*. I love it soo much! The film with Jennifer Aniston and Owen Willson is the best I´ve saw!!! He is such a great dog! I <3 Marley

  • I have John Grogan's book, Marley and Me! Whne I was reading the book and found out that MArley was in this movie, I got to the laptop immendiately to search about it, and here I am!

  • wow, he was really tall for a lab! I wish they all looked like that! I love naughty dogs they are the most fun :D

  • This was one of the best parts of the book. John Grogan said that the little boy was terrified of Marley and one the first day Marley dragged the boy out of the car and chewed through his leash. John Grogan also mentioned the day when Marley was panting so loudly that they had to redo the scene a bunch of times. The director said that all he could hear was panting and that it sounded like a porno.

  • Hahah in the book he said Marley was panting so loud they had to redo the scene a bunch of times.

  • So cute!

People don't love their dogs because they're four-legged Emily Posts. People love their dogs because they're hilarious, fiercely loyal, and can bring tremendous laughter to the entire family.

Some of my best memories (though they were really not fun at the time) with my own Lab included chasing her around the mall when she slipped out of her collar and my mom having to carry our struggling, wailing puppy back to the car because she wouldn't leave the beach after closing.

  • Wow all the great stuff John Grogan mentioned in the book obviously didn't make it to the film. Kind of a let down.

  • i love marley

  • Marley Is So Cute And Great Video

  • I havea female lab named Enya. Compared to her this Marley is a disciplined dog. But anyway I love her madly. Our spirits entwine well and she is a great lover even if so mischievous.

  • im reading marly and me and i saw the title of this movie so i had to watch it

  • Thats the real marley were seing right now.Not the one in the movie marley and me.

  • Watching Marley & Me right now, just about ready to bawl my eyes out.

  • 0:20 and 0:32

    ...Yup, that's Marley alright.

  • in the hardcover version of the book there are a bunch of pictures - he doesn't look that big in them because there's nothing to compare for perspective. But holy cow, that dog is frickin' massive.

  • I know Marley is cute and all but the film is actually quite good as well, used to love it when I was little and the story of an old man going back to being a kid is quite interesting.Would love to get the chance to see it again but it's incredibly hard to find!

  • How great. I never thought I would find this... Wow, Marley was huge... According to the books.... yep, that exactly how he acted. :)

  • As I read this in the book I was like "no wayyyyyyy" I had to look it up.....I wish he was my dog,he's like a big bundle of energy

  • OMG!!! Marley was a realy huge dog!! I already knew from the books.. But that huge, I didn't expact it haha.

I love the real Marley haha. (the movie marley&me was nice, but the book was amazing and the pictures of Marley - i'd love them but to see him realy moving: wow!!)

  • I had wanted to see this! Thank you for posting it. He does look like a bundle of energy!

  • so nice to see the dog I'm reading about!!

  • i love marley!! :D

  • i love marley!! :D

  • aawwwww i luv marley

  • Marley is a big dog!!

  • When this was mentioned in the book, I just HAD to look it up.

  • @geekyandgeekier haha i just read this part in the book

  • HAHA!! In the book, a sound tech is said to have complained about the dogs panting @ 1:35 you can see what he means!!

  • aww what an adorable dog ! haha you can hear him panting really hard in the car

  • oh goodness... he's adorable!

john grogan is a brilliant storyteller... he describes marley exactly as the film shows him..."marley the dog.. as himself!"

(i dont think you'll get this comment if you didnt read the book)

  • aw, this made me smile (: im reading marley and me right now.

  • @Z3BRAINK me too :)

  • I'm reading marly and me these days...and I just finished the chapter about the movie...i'm surprised that he's so big and he was definitely panting hard XD

  • Lolz, Marley is way cute, and I can't believe he actually dragged the poor kid!

  • Thanks for posting this. It's great to see Marley in action!

  • I'm reading the book Marley and Me but saw the movie it's sad =( But i liked this part where i saw Marley only if they showed him more in the movie that will be great =)

  • I just finished the chapter about this movie. I laughed for the longest time at the heavy breathing, porn flick part xD

  • i just finished the book i read it into sittings i loved and yes he is beautiful love you marley

  • wow he's huge standing next to that kid! the movie looks kind of boring though

  • he's so cute i read the book it was sad =(

  • "little lipstick things"

    ROFL

  • he was amazing! such a good book!

  • I love marley!!! why doesn't anyone talk about this video???? Poor Mar...

  • This is awesome. It's so cool- that was really HIM. He was acting just as I read it!

  • DUDE! I can't believe im actually seeing that dog! It's amazing! He IS massive lol

  • @Fuzzyfezz ohmigosh! i know! i was like 'yeah yeah, he's probably big, but not that big' but he was half the height of the little boy! holy cow!

gosh, thats an awfully large dog. but he's really cute :]

and from what i read, he was the best dog ever, of course so was my yellow lab :] :]

  • He was jumping around and panting really loud. LOL.

It would be funny if my dog got in a movie. :P

  • *_______*

  • WoW

    Marley is so cute!

And as we can see , he was really crazy!

Its great to see the real Marley and now i have to fight with my tears, because on Friday I saw the film and it was so sad! I really cried.

  • @Sanniiiify Yes he was! Now that I look back at this video again and compare to the movie. Marley and Me movie did a good job. The book is great too. Reveals other stuff not in the movie.

  • wow!! marley is a big dog. GREAT!!

  • i remember that part

  • Haha, it's just like in the book how the sound technician was disgusted by marleys breathing; you can hear him panting the WHOLE time during the car scene and onward XD

  • i just read this part in the book.

    awee marley <3

  • me 2

  • jus finished reading Marley and Me it was so good an it made me cry so much

  • I just finished reading this part of Marley and Me and knew I'd be able to find the clips on Youtube!

  • I hate how people seemed surprised by how much you can love a dog that is that hard to deal with. Through the book it's quite obvious that john and jenny and the kids loved him, and just because your dog isn't a trained world champion, it doesn't mean you can't love them..

  • @avalancheriot

I dont think that its about trained or sassy dogs, its just about the love to a dog, and that marley is so sassy is just to make the movie funnier, because if he would be a trained champion dog, the movie wouldnt be as great as it is! Anyway, MARLEY is sooo cute <33

  • Marley for ever.. its great.. :D

  • I, like others, have just finished the book. As someone who owned and loved a do growing up, Marley and Me moved me more than any book I have ever read. It's great to see Marley here, as was described in the book.

The book made me want another dog until Marley's age and ultimate death reminded me of the grief of the death of my old dog.

He, like Marley, was a great dog.

  • I remember this part of the book!

  • wow

  • Ahhh Marley!! Loved the movie, and Just read this part of the book! Marley Rox!!! Too Cute!

  • OMG! It's Marley!

I'm reading the book. When I got to the chapter where he becomes a star, I just HAD to see for myself.

In the scene where he is panting really loud and chewing on the leash, I laughed. John did say he was always so excited no matter what situation and chewed on anything he could get to.

Can't blame him, he's a dog like no other.

    R.I.P Marley.

  • LOL marley panted so loud!!! exactly the same scene i read from the book

  • i love you marley!!!!!

  • No wonder he was a pain in the ass for john... hehehe!

  • Marley's the best! The story about him is amazing. Every human being should enjoy their lives like marley did. And damn he was so loyal to his family. The book brought me some funny moments, but also some sad moments... So I definitely recommend it to everybody!

  • Read it, loved it. I loved the movie too.

  • ITS MAAAAAAAAAAAARLEEEEEEEEY!

  • that is so cool. its really marley!!!

  • I am reading the book now and I just wanted to see how Marley look like in that movie...And... OMG THATS MARLEY! THIS IS SO COOL! *O*

  • OMG, i'm reading the book right now in this chapther, O god, Marley, beautiful Dog!!!!!!

  • same! :)

i only just heard about this film fromt he book, so i thought id check up about it! :)

  • same

  • Can anyone plz uplode this movie for me I love it! Plz someone update 'The Last Home Run' PLZ!!!

  • just as john grogan mentioned "THE WORST DOG EVER!!!"!!! but still I feel sorry for marley the time he died..

  • I felt bad for Marley but I felt worse for John and his family. Even though John called Marley the worst dog ever you know they loved that dog.

  • Yes definitely! Even though how much you hated the dog, but in the end when the pet dies you will realize how much you love it so much..

  • Exactly. My dog Sadie was a pain in the butt at times. But when she died I didn't think I'd ever get over it. It's so sad how fast a dog ages. I miss that dog.

  • Awwe that's sad that's why sometimes we must understand dogs...

  • Or at least try.

  • i love the fact that marley was panting so loudly. it ws like that insert in the book where the audio guy was like "I cant here everything, that dog's panting makes it sound like a porn flick!" or something like that

  • If you listen carefully, the little boy says, "Mom, Marley's gotta go to... the bath-... bathroom," at 0:08-0:10!

  • OMG, that is DEFINITELY Marley, LOL! It's kind of weird how this movie wasn't really a big hit, according to John Grogan at that time, but, I'm sure it's pretty popular THESE days, since poor Marley is no longer with us. R.I.P Marley!!

  • everyone is getting his age all wrong.

  • I have a border collie (Peyton) that is almost identical to Marley. Running through neighbors yards, so he can say hi to the dog that lives on the next block. Constantly barking at anyone who walks past our yard. Running and jumping on everyone, he is such a pain, but at the same time, I wouldn't trade him for the world. He is great with our kids, to the point he will let our 3 year old ride him. For all the trouble he has caused, he is worth it.

  • thanks!!! I'm reading the book and I'm so happy to see the real MARLEY.

    5 stars

  • i have an 11 year old dog named missy..so far she is healthy..to bad she wasn't like marley...it would have been so fun

  • Marley lived with the Grogan family from January 1991 to December 2003

  • Marley was 12 years old in human years when he died. (84 in dog years)

  • Rest In peace marley..one day you and ur loved ones will meet again!

  • is that marley? i love this dog so much! btw, what exact date did he died?

  • This movie seem to of gotten awful reviews, the only memorable part of this movie is Marley the Dog was in it. It must of taken forever to make those parts.

  • He kind of wrecks the scenes lol. You can just hear him panting in the background and the actors have to raise their voices to be heard!

  • And he also dragged that kid across the hallway, LOL! John mentioned a part where Marley messed up a scene where he had to get out of a car.

  • MARLEY!!!

Gawd, John Grogan wasn't KIDDING when he said Marley was big!! He was ENORMOUS!!!

    Rest in Peace Marley.

  • Yeah...he is rlly big...i cry so much when i read taht movie !

  • lol marley pulls the little kid all the way across the hallway. he was a really big dog! does anyone know what year he passed away? just wondering.

  • Umm... I think it was 2003 x

  • I can give you a hint, he was 15 when he passed away (which is 105 in dog years)

  • I Like How It Says In The Credits Marley The Dog As Himself

  • Marley!

  • Thanks for posting this video! Was so great to see the real Marley... I hope I can find the movie.

  • thats funny. the boys name is jonathon and the girls is jenny (john and jenny grogan) (marleys owners)

  • marley is such a sweet beautiul dog. rest in peace lil angel :'-(

  • I had thougt that was a made-up story.

    marley rulz

  • He's huge for a lab!

  • This is a great movie if you can find it, it has that smalls guy from The Sandlot and is about a guy who never got to play baseball as a kid in the depression and gets he wish to be a kid again and it makes you cry like Marley and Me, a good solid film.

  • The credits play with your mind.... they're walking but they're not getting farther away!

  • yeah how the hell can that be possible? lol

  • LOL at 0.20 !

  • omg they just quit at that part of marley getting out of the car because there was always trouble AHAHAHAHAH xD so they did that scene at 1.52 XD

  • Marley's name is in the credits!

    "MARLEY THE DOG . . . Himself"

    Neat! :D

  • its the real marley! AWWE!!! I read the book, and i was like "i bet this scene is on youtube!" lol, and here it is! thanks!

  • im a little confused i love the film and gunna buy the book but what do you meen when u say this is the orig marley ? please someone explain thanks

  • Once you read the book, you'll see that Marley did a film called The Last Home Run which these scenes were taken from, so this is the real Marley. Hope that explains - Thanks, Paula

  • Marley was a real dog owned by John Grogan (also the authors name). Yes! Its a true story

  • Yh i know he was real and the film is based on a true story just didnt know this was the original dog in this film =)

  • @DistantStar09 if you read the book, its on chapter 16

  • aaw marleyyyy!

  • I've nearly finished the book and its brilliant!

  • Ain't that the truth!!!!!!!

    :-)

  • im reading the book and im on the part where the got out of that blue van

and they did like tons of sceens cuz Marley kept messing up

  • So that was the real Marley =) He was lovely!! ^^

  • Crazy.

I was shocked at how good the movie was (Marley and Me, that is). I didn't expect it to be so good.

  • I suggest you read the book too. The movie skipped over a few key events, I think it captures the emotions of the characters a little better too ;-)

  • lol on last scene it looks like she slammed the door on his face poor thing

  • When the girl is meeting up with this jonothan and they were talking all you could hear was marley barking lol!

  • How adorable!I wanted to know more about Marley thx for posting the real Marley =)

  • wow, i cant believe thats the actual marley, infnfact i just finished the part when they have his little funeral at the end, and they mentioned the story to the kids when he was in the movie....but thats actually him...WOW!

  • after nearly 3 minutes of this torture,i can't help but wonder how many oscars this movie picked up

  • none. went straight to VHS.

and just whats so bad about it?

  • other than the fact that it looks homemade,or other than the fact that it makes "air bud" look like "good will hunting"?

  • me too,lol..i read that chapter yesterday..never thought id actually find a clip on youtube

  • Man, Marley really is massive.

    hahaha hilarious.

    John Grogan wasn't kidding.

  • marley!!q gran perro

  • Marley was the world's best dog!!

aaaaa i have just finished the book and i cried sooooo much, geat book!!!

  • MARLEY!!! that's so weird, seeing him. i've read the book about a million times, and it feels weird actually seeing the "world's worst dog". he was adorable!!! i love marley. i wish i could have met him!!

  • At school, were reading Marley and me, today we read the chapter where he does makes the audition, its a great book, Marleys adorable =)

  • lolz it's just like how they said it was in the book you can tell they were having trouble controlling him :P

  • I just finished the book & was hoping to find the movie the real Marley was in. This is so great to see the real dog & yes, in what little you see of him he seems just like what John Grogan wrote of his beloved friend.

  • Somebody needs to go through the credits and look for his name. It says in the book that somewhere it has "Marley the Dog as Himself" on there.

  • Between 2:34 & 2:42 his name appears at the bottom of the section that says "The Neals"

    Marley The Dog - Himself

  • All we can hear is his panting XP

  • Marley is so funny I love him!

  • marley is great he is just like our dog.
