@maneli ... yup, your brain-finger connection is high speed!! but you wanna know what really gets me? the other connection... your heart-brain connection. :)
If only instead of every Pizza Hut and rubbish advertisement on the tv, they would play any 3 of your chords in succesion there would be a big difference to the world
Thank You, Maneli for sharing your gift of music. I am a guitar player myself and am always inspired by others like yourself. Phil Keaggy is a great influence in my style of guitar playing. You remind me of his work. If you can, and if you have not seen his video "The Reunion." he does some great inspirational guitar work on that instrumental. I look forward to viewing and listening to your other work.
What the hell man? You're remarkably talented. I can't remember the last time I was this impressed with someone's ability. I consider myself decent at guitar, but seeing this makes me feel like I've never even touched the instrument.
Hello Maneli, I'm a huge fan. Do you transcribe your own tunes? I am interested in learning Javun but have been disappointed lately in some transcriptions I've bought. Just curious if they're completely accurate? Thanks so much!
@BrokenFingersProduct I used a Rode NT4 stereo mic to record all the videos. I put a bit of EQ, reverb and compression as well for the post production.
HI, Maneli! I'm Luke, a Brazilian and a big fan of his work. I confess I am very moved by this song. Upon hearing this song I could go to the "land of the free. " The world needs musicians like you. Congratulations on the job. May God continue to bless you.
That's a nice guitar sound .I notice the guitar is made of actual wood ,not some plastic composite .What are you supposed to do with a plastic guitar anyway ?? It wont Burn! They Float i guess...
Every guitar player should look for an individual way to express himself. Your way is definitely individual. You're technically skilled and in some way know how to deliver story with your music.
@maneli Ah, crap...I'm not sure. I live in Norway, and the distributor only had this FL2AC in stock, so I didn't get to choose woods. And I'm not really a coinneseur of woods...but I'm guessing the back and sides are Qld maple and the top is spruce. But it COULD be bunya, I'm not sure of the esthetic differences. Man, am I a noob.
Already bought two of his tabs, and trust me they were worth every cent!!! Not only was it great that i was able to learn his songs but i've learnt so much more than that. New skills ect. thanks alot maneli. your music speaks to people. I showed my family some of your songs and they were absolutly amazed that someone could do so much with one guitar.
Saying this is my favorite one of ur songs, that I've heard, seems like it would be an insult. They all have a unique brilliance and....Yeah, Im just gonna stop before I start rambling nonsense.
You rock. kkthxbye
Question for ya, btw!
Do you ever play in any other way than with a thumb pick? (No 'snippyness' intended. Pure curiosity). It seems to be doing the trick though ^^ Love ur sound(s).
@perathras Thanks for those words! I play mostly with a thumbpick on this guitar but have a history of playing without it and with a pick as well. I play guitar not just one style of guitar if that helps :)
you make very good music, some of it is similar to my style, generally refering to the fingerstyleness, : ) anyways awesome music, thanks for hooking it up, -steven
The part you go into around 50 seconds reminds me a lot of the melody from Klimbim by Don Ross... I love it! Are you influenced by Ross (I presume you are, a very similar style).
