Sean Lock at his best. This programme was given awful time slots, yet is vastly superior to UK primetime 'Turd Dressed as Entertainment' sitcoms such as 'My Family'. If you are not from the UK and are wondering what 'My Family' is, it is diluted crap trying to masquerade as a superior US sitcom. But hopefully, astute non-british observers of comedy will notice the subtle nuances underrated comedy such as seen in 15 Storeys High.
A friend lent me the DVDs the other week. It's the funniest thing I have seen in ages. Sean Lock and Benedict Wong are an amazing double act, but everything in the whole series is pretty much flawless. I'd never even heard of it before. Was it only on BBC3 or something? I think The Blue Rat has to be my favourite episode.
Fabulous observant and sympathetic comedy conveyed through effortless acting. By the way, Benny is an absolute gent in real life. Whoever was in charge of programming managed to hide this British gem from nearly everyone. But get the vid. The first episodes are great slow-burn stuff and the later are utter LOL.
'' ....something quoted from the routine '' exclamation excalmation then tell everyone who has just seen the actual video how funny you found that particular part!!!
Make a quick comment about how fantastic the comedian is....then retire satisfied that you are someone with great appreciation and comic timing who perhaps could even be a funny man one day yourself.
hey guys, you can get series 2 on DVD now, its comes in a series 1 and 2 dvd set, you cant buy it seperately, deffinately worth buying, cheap on play I think... one of the best sitcoms ever
does ANYONE have copies of the second series???? especially the last episode with the 'melted' baby. I desperately want to see them again - dont think bbc will ever release them. please help me!

Do yourself a favour and buy both series on DVD.
Absolutely fantastic stuff.
This episode and the one where Vince is put on trial for allegedly killing a swan are my favourites.
Oh, I forgot about the one where he talks about being traumatised as a kid when he was buried under a mountain of Wombles on 'Jim'll Fix It'.
Comedy gold.
