Both cars are pretty good in my opinion. I looked up both cars and they're specifications are very similar.

The Oldsmobile Cutlass, Pontiac Grand Prix, and Buick Regal are grouped together a lot. They're all pretty similar in specs and have their own styles.

I think what helped Pontiac win was that it had a more sporty appeal than the buick regal.

@coololds85 What is with all of the Grand Prix hate? The Grand Prix was an awesome car. Of all the W-bodies it was without a doubt the best looking. The Regal was a grandma's car, even the GS was just a sporty grandma's car. The Regal was that way until the end. Now, you can modify a Regal to look pretty BA, but from the factory... the GP was much better looking. And look at the end of the w-bodies... Grand Prix had the GXP with the LS4... the Regal didn't..

Have you ever done any research into the Grand Prix? Its technology was far ahead of the Regal. The Grand Prix had a heads up display in 1989, as well as a detailed driver information center, a CD player, steering wheel radio controls... the Buick Regal was meant for simple luxury. Pontiac was the sporty, performance brand. Besides, good luck trying to find a Regal that is better or sportier looking than my Grand Prix.

@whatthefehl312 seriously I know about every detail about all three type of GM10 cars from 1988-1989 and I know the Buick Regal and Pontiac Grand Prix are no different from each other. I don't really care if the Pontiac Grand Prix had a sporty look to it. If you rather have a sporty car than thats your opionion but when I look at a car I look for luxury in a car. besides both of these cars have the same performance so it doesn't matter which car you own anyway out of these three cars.
