the whole music industry is a real shame! They produce cheap plastic pop music instead of real music by musicians who can play real instruments, now they shooting against those folks who still believe in good old handmade stuff! Shame on them!
I would sue them of producing all those plastic bullshit music for young kiddies, if i could!
Impressive work! A lot of people bitch that Blackmore wasn't loud enough on the film, but don't worry about it. It must have been a bitch to get a wall of marshalls to sound nice.
It doesn't matter. All that matters now is the California Jam wereo that I created at the California Jam. I'm the only one who was rolling tape on the actual radio broadcast, so instead of Brittany Spears, Madonna, and The Jonas Bros it sounds like putting the radio on and hearing the Jam just as it was happening. And it was happening, brother!
There isn't a youtube that has the necessary resonance to call itself a wereo.
Caljam was the first pathetically commercial festival, hell there were cameras secondly, and it was for the benefit of the TV audience more than the dudes in the crowd. Secondly, 100% of the headlining bands were british.
Finally, where did Wolfgang's Vault get their Black Sabbath Cal Jam tape from? Other people recorded it Scott, and they aren't as messed up as you.
The wereo is a mexican man playing unimpressive guitar solos in the wrong key, with a bassist who dances like a guy with downs syndrom, and a rainbow painted behind the band by a 3 year old? Thats the glory? You are proof people took too many drugs in the 1970s.
Obviously the only stupid here is you, or maybe you're retarded since you can't read the whole sense your appointment has, the sense that comes from putting some words together in a certain order (it's called semantics, dude). Another option is that you said what you said and now you deny what you said. It's that easy
Well, sorry to disappoint you but the answer is: no, I'm not. Why don't you just watch what you say and avoid sayind stupid things, or something that might be taken wrong?
BY the way to all fellow guitarists out their does your spouse or sig other find it weird if you get goosebumps when your fav solo or song comes on the radio.. My wife doesnt get it that As soon as I hear the opening riff to burn or the opening gong to kashmire I get these goosebumps all over my arms!!!!
yeah Harman, no epics on Made In Europe, but the fastest solo segment since Django Reinhardt in the middle of You Fool No One, where Ritchie's hands would seem to disappear; sure a little sloppy, and noisy on purpose, but the quickness and speed supercede any shredder since. And when Richie's in the mood, he can play fast and clean like on Anya from Battle..., or Gypsy's Kiss from Perfect...,
or Kill the King from Long Live..., as you probably know.
why oh why do you people have to be so rude and use disgusting language - are you so bad and inept socially that you have to use youtube to swear at people? Do you think your reply is better because you used a swearword? You don't know me but you use an anonymous medium to insult me. Pathetic little boy.
Who the Hell are you?(Or as Deep Purple would say Who do you think you are?!)I was responding to someone else and believe me the word I used was restrained and very mild, it could have been much worse! Are you so inept socially(?) that you need to involve yourself in someone else' conversation! My mommy taught me that that is rude and as far as an anonymous medium to insult with what would you call your last sentence in your misplaced missive!Practice what you preach ASSWIPE!
That's ok! I'd love to know what it means! Especially since I'm half Italian! My formal name is Carlo Ricardo Peraldo Yon! Rick is the nickname I've had since childhood! My dad came over when he was 12 and he was from the Alps near the Swiss border! Keep rockin' in Italia!
Notice at the beginning of this clip a poster for Purple with support by a band called Elf - fronted by none other than the dwarf-meister, Ronnie James Dio!
Ritchie Blackmore "borrowed" the main riff for this song from George Gershwin! The song was called "Fascinating Rhythms" and was written in 1928! Don't believe me? You can search it right here on you-tube!
No shit? Gedrshwin?!?!?! Gotta hand it to Ritchie for being eclectic in choosing who he "borrows" from. So add Gershwin to the list of classical composers including Bach, Greig, Paganini, and other, I'm sure. I bet John Lord had a hand in it too, Mozart, call your office!
Let's face it every body borrows from the past! Nothing happens in a vacuum! But when my band was learning this song back in 1973 the bass players mom yelled from upstairs in the kitchen Hey are you guys learning "Fascinating Rhythms"? and we all looked at each other and said "HUH?" If that doesn't tell you how close it is then I don't know what else to say! It seems that the real creative genius types find their inspiration in "eclectic" places!
you have got to love thease guys. i've been listening to there stuff since the late 60's and there music still sounds great!!! this stuff will get you going.
Something I've always wondered: exactly WHEN did Glenn Hughes use that Rickenbacker bass?! I've seen photos here and there of him playing one, and it looks like in this video, there's a couple to suggest he did use it in Purple, but every bit of video footage I've seen of the band, he's playing a Fender P-bass. What's the deal?!
Ian is better my ass...There is a reason why he never sings this song...Or Stormbringer...Both of em Coverdale / Gillian have unique voices and all stuff they make is the best music ever created.DP forever!
People have a right to compare Gillan/Glover and Coverdale/Hughes but come-on, different chapters at interesting times. It was all good. Nothing to be ashamed of with "Burn" even if you favor Gillan and Glover.
Burn is my fav DP album cause it so different from their other stuff, except Storm Bringer, Come Taste the Band, and Fireball. More R&B and Soul influenced. Had Burn but then i saw it remastered from Rhino @ Tower Records. IT was only $9.99, so i bought it. Sold the other un-remastered copy to FYE
FANTASTIC!! I'm 44 years old and I grew up listening to Made in Europe. I actually prefer it a bit over Made in Japan, though I might be in the minority there. This rocks just as hard as it did back in the day. I see you have Stormbringer too. I'm subscribing.
Listened to this on "Made in Europe" 10,000 times in High School, the one song written by DP Mark 3 that the "Man in Black" truly loved to play with them live. A Psychological and Sonic Counterpoint to some of the lame, uninspired white man's funk that Glenn Hughes and Coverdale were injecting into the band as Blackmore found himself isolated in his hard rock,neo-classical mindset,as Lord and Paice shrugged their shoulders and passively let the band veer towards R/B Oblivion.
Actually when I listened to this on a Castte I didn't knew they had changed Singer/Bassist. I thought it was gillam at the time (Low Quality Recording mind you). It was the same record : Made In Japan. Here they need two singers to cover for Gillam
He was the frontman for Elf, who later became the frontman for Rainbow (which was basically DP with a few other memebers), and then went on to be the frontman of Black Sabbath in the early 80s and finally embarked on a solo career! :P
Looks like you threw every transition there is at this one! Pretty good... some of the pictures are not in focus, though. Try using threshold(in combination with brightness increase and decrease beforehand) to blaze color into lesser-quality pics and hide their imperfections. I use AOA DVD Ripper(free download) to make "video footage' vids too... try it out!
