You people that post negative stuff amaze me. I do believe you are purely jealous! I played this at my College Senior Recital, and I didn't play it nearly as well as she did! This is really beautiful!! And I, too, was so focused on the music that I didn't even notice the breathing (although my son did =3).
Nowadays, this is not a rare talent. I've heard many young children play this piece with great technique and expression. Nonetheless, she plays wonderfully well.
Quite amazing, but then again, I have seen many just like her, if not a little older. Evgeny Kissin was one of those to stun the Moscow Conservatoire with an impressive recital full of musicality and natural expression. I ask you that if a girl may have the technique and facility to play, does she necessarily have the musical intensity and natural affinity to go with it? Her compositions really do not impress me, I've seen better young composers, but for a 7 year old her playing is superb.
@Post4JM Actually I was responding to the comment "Her compositions really do not impress me, I've seen better young composers" -- not whether there are other children who play this piece better than Emily. For the record, I was being sarcastic in my previous comment when I said I want to know other young composers better than Emily :p
Never heard or seen anything pure, light and impressive as this. Emily opens a new realm of heavenly music to us. Thank you for giving us this insight into the ultimative beauty... I hope you stay well, Emily, lead a 'normal' life while balancing it with your absolutely amazing, extremely rare talent. May you carry it through a glad life while you're such a treasure to us all. Thank you!
i`ve never seen anyone play with such lightness of touch! Her fingers barely seem to touch the keys, like...butterfly wings or something. Thanks so much for sharing the vid.

That heavy breathing was annoying...next time wear looser fitting clothes!

I was so focused on the beauty of this song that I could even hear the camera man breathe. Amazing.

@ClassicalFan28 If you like her Northern Lights, I recommend Philip Glass' Metamorphosis 2.
