  • Anyone else notice this guy sounds like Arnie!?? "outstanding..."

  • I wonder how many people went to the m-power website after watching the video. lol

  • Not even close to being the smallest M ever built.

  • Was soll das? Wollen die witzig oder etwa cool sein? Das sind die Deutschen nicht. Sie sind es einfach nicht...

  • 1 Series M Coupe is a track ready bargain!

Starting at $46,135 MSRP (€32789 EUR)

BMW detuned the 1M so it doesn't completely CRUSH the m3

but that's why god invented ECU upgrades :D

  • nice but not as nice as audi ttrs :) visit ww.ttrs-freunde.de

  • i dream too...to have a M

  • jaja heil hitler

  • IS SO POWERFUL HAHHA

  • He's so German lol

  • yeh or nay...40 k...decisions decisions

  • I know what car ill be getting next :P

  • @digi051669

Not just any N engine, the same N54 engine from last years production model (and still in the Z4 35i).

  • not quite ///M pure. It has a N-series engine not a pure S-series engine

  • Wie scheiße es sich anhört, wenn ein solch Deutscher versucht, englisch zu sprechen! :D

  • vry bad no comments

  • this is a "real" M-car! Straight Six, manual gearbox, not 11 settings for the gearbox as the m5! You got to love this car. BMW is BACK!!!

  • should have had arnie doing it

  • "it's not YOU and the CAR, it's ONE"

  • Most wonderfull job out there testing the new cars, my dream job :)))))

  • They should have had Arnold commentate instead of this guy!

  • We are here to realize dreams.

Yeah, fo' sho' and making good money as well.

  • Probably quick... but its an ugly little bugger.

  • What motor will the M1 one have...

inline 6 twin turbo just like the 135i

  • @turbotdi2002 It will have 3 liter twin turbo straight-six engine producing 306 bhp.

It won engine of the year 2010 award in 2.5-litre to 3-litre category.

  • @Warrantti Thats what I figured I wonder if the M3 is gonna be V6 twin turbol for the next model cause there a lot of complaints on the V8 gas guzzler

  • @Warrantti i thought it was around the 350bhp mark....according to total bmw mag anyway. may be wrong tho.

  • @dibnah46

you are right. it will have around 350hp and Warrantti the 306 ho engine is the engine in the bmw 135 coupe and the m series will have the same engine as the new bmw Z4 3.5 is

  • YOU. WILL. HAVE. GOOSE-PIMPLES.

  • new info about this car

    youtube.com/watch?v=xHG2HVTY_NE

  • Did he just say "you will get goose pimples"

  • i have a 3 series right now.. was planning on getting a 135 next year when my 3 hits about 100K miles.. but i think ill save and wait for this.. holy crap..

  • goose pimples... :P

  • meh looks live every other other BMW

  • Are there two versions of this car in progress? One with two exhausts like in the other m1 videos and this one with four?

  • this was like a trippy mind control video with all the moving camera angles and crap...

    must buy 1 series m

    must buy 1 series m

    must buy 1 series m

    must buy 1 series m

  • if they really want to realize dreams of owning the car, make it free

  • you will love it...but you have to wait for it?

  • When is it coming out

  • M Power is not only engine. Even if it will have the same engine as 135i, there gonna be many differences like gearbox or suspension.

  • this guy can bullshit u into buying this junk ?? i gotta give him my S2000 then

  • Are fuckin retarded? The 135i and the 1m have the SAME twin turbo engine setup. There is no slapping on anything. Currently the 1M's engine is just a modified twin turbo n54.

  • @Sadfhorde The facelifted 135i now has a single turbocharged N55 engine, while the 1M coupe has a twin turbo N54 engine.

  • 0:38 Goose pimples??

    haha made my day.. lol

  • @ruvim555 *in german accent* you will have goose pimples hahahahahaha

  • Can't wait!!

  • there is no 'slapping on turbos'. The engine is just a retuned twin turbo N54 period.

  • @Sadfhorde Nope, engine in 1 series coupe M power and 135i from 2010 and late is "twin scroll turbo".. Production of n54 is stopped, now it's n55.

  • @eduarderro dude, the 1 series M as in M division model, is still using a retuned twin turbo N54 setup. Only the 2010+ regular 135i's are using the single turbo N55.

  • @Sadfhorde jeap, u right. my bad.

  • Two words.

    German. Engineering.

    Exellence.

  • REALLY OUTSTANDING

  • Mercedes-Benz FTW

  • Dear BMW, I have a great feeling about this 1 series. You can already see the M philosophy kicking in. Gotta love that ///M Power.

P.S what if there was a livery package(white w/red, blue, and violet stripes and an optional carbon fiber spoiler?)

  • goose pimples

  • frozenblaze should think about a real life or a job, maybe he could buy one instead of talking about it all day long.. :(

  • @kpbrigade

Yup, I just happen to have a job and videos uploaded on my channel, of the cars, so up yours, babyface. 8)

Maybe your little ass should get a job first, so you could even rent a car to drive around. Pretty weak to say what you did, especially when you don't even have any videos to show of your vehicles.

    Haha.

  • @FrozenBlaze

Lol- an e46 is a 3 series an e39 is a 5 series. And 'do what they do with the roadster cars and slap on turbochargers'? It's a BMW! They occasionally use turbo diesels and only a few concept cars have ever used a turbo. BMW = naturally aspirated.

  • @pseudoknife

Thank you for the obvious information, duhhh.

And no, BMW died in the 90's and early 2000. Since then, it's been all turbocharging. Where are the V8's without turbo's? Where are the powerful straight six engines without turbos? I haven't seen them anywhere else, except NORMAL gasoline burning BMW's, like the 318, 320, 520, 525 and the 135.

Also, your comment was very unclear and you even failed at pressing the "reply" button. Good for you.

  • @FrozenBlaze the 135i has a turbo.

  • @mrtrypto And the 1-M Coupé has a twin turbo.

So, a turbo slapped in for extra horsepower, with just a small tuning on the original engine.

  • Comment removed

  • @FrozenBlaze

the 135i is already a twin turbo, same as the 335i

  • @m5chili

yeah but neither the 135i nor the 335i have an M3 chassis like this one here does.

  • Why is not called M1? because is the same 135 engine?

  • @reyelacademico

M1 is reserved for a completely different car.

If the leaks from BMW were real, it is the striaght 6 engine from the 135i, with twin turbo's. The car is lighter with new bodykits re-designed from the bases of the E92 M3. About the interior, nobody knows of it, but it's been speculated, that it would have carbon fibre panels and dashboard.

  • Which song is it ? I want to know it so bad :/

    Wie lautet der Musikname ?

  • I really hope BMW doesn't screw this up. Dr. Segler, I wish I shared your enthusiasm, but BMW has dissapointed loyal devotees with their recent offerings.

  • "You will not leave the car, you will not give the key to anybody else.... except for your mechanic.... every month."

  • Looks good

  • please please put a DCT transmission in the 1 series m coupe please

  • The sound of German accent from a BMW engineer is pure confidence.

  • hues song is that

  • Will it have turbo?

...cos it's not the //M way

In case it won't have turbo it will be a really cool rival to the Audi TTRS. I think I'd pick the 1 series //M coupé over the //M3... Are the performance figures (power output etc) confirmed yet?

  • @Lattamonty

It is a turbocharged engine - Twin turbo if I remember correctly.

That just ruins it for me with the M-cars, but most people here just rage to me afterwards about it and say that "You're a dumb fuck".

Goes to show that people don't understand values of opinions and preferations and like to act big like-so.

  • @FrozenBlaze Goddamnit. I agree.

Normally I'm pretty fond of turbos but, as I already stated, it's not the //M way and therefore this thing should be naturally aspirated PERIOD.

Just like with the X5//M and X6//M, BMW shows they don't give sh*t about the traditional principles of the M division... They've broken the hearts of us BMW fans :-(...

So it seems like I'm getting one of those TTRSs instead... Or M3. Or e60 M5. Darn it, I can't afford any of these...

  • @Lattamonty

Yeah. But some people here will just go on and give a "protect speech" for BMW as it is. "You ain't a driver, you don't know anything about then" yeah, yeah, the same old thing that all big acting guys write.

I'd love to own a E36M3. Even tho' the E36's an overhyped car by the youth in Finland, it's a really sporty looking and fast car. And it has what? A classic, powerfull straight six engine, just like the E34M5. But unfortunately the E36M3 is rare in Finland and is expensive.

  • @FrozenBlaze The only problem with e36 is the very fact that it really is utterly overhyped and ruined by the Finnish youth. Very many examples of e36 are equipped with obviously fake //M badges and oversized exhaust pipes. It is very rare to see proper e36 M3 individuals.

After all, as a design, e36 is very sporty and beautiful, just like e46, but unfortunately its aesthetic output is often spoiled by crappy condition or tasteless body kits.

  • @Lattamonty

Indeed. According to Trafi (AKE) only about 48 original E36M3's exist in Finland, as registered street cars. Racing cars are another thing. I saw one in Kiikala's Burnout party 2010 2 weeks ago and wasn't it in fine condition. All original, only new exhaust system.

But yeah, the youth is ruining the E36 by overhyping it and "tuning" it with huge rear spoilers and oversized exhaust pipes (and M3 badges on 316's, LoL), that do nothing but cause too much noise. It's simply annoying.

  • @Lattamonty

BMW's M division has been using turbos since the beginning. While it is true they have favored naturally aspirated engines, they have used turbos when the rules allowed them, such as the Group 5 Racing M1 and the BMW F1 engines in history.

BMW is also based around "driving pleasure" and "performance", not solely NA engines. Also the current generations of turbocharged BMW engines have virtually NO turbo lag.

  • @m5chili That changes the matter, thanks for enlightening me. I'm okay with this car now.

However, this 1er M coupé has turned out to be not very much of a looker. The front intakes strike me awkward to say the least. If I had the essential funds I'd seriously consider buying one, though. For BMWs are, as agreed, about driving pleasure and performance, something this car surely will deliver big time.

  • @m5chili

Look at the old commercials of BMW M-cars, that have the "Principals of an M-car".

    They promised the following:

"Pure driving pleasure. Great handling. Naturally aspirated. Always RWD. And always, with a manual transmission".

And what do we get now?

Pure driving pleasure? Well, looking at some of the newest cars, especially the X-series, I wouldn't say so. Great handling? X-series?

    Naturally aspirated, in my dreams.

    RWD? Yes.

Manual transmission? Semi-automatic isn't manual to me.

  • @FrozenBlaze

Yes, MOST //M cars have been naturally aspirated, however not all of them. for example the FIRST generation of the M3 (e30) was a I4 turbo.

Personally i own an e60 M5, and have driven an e36 M3, e46 M3, e92 M3, and a supercharged e46 M3, and i can tell you that the more they squeeze out of those NA engines, the more you lose on street driveability with the use of a turbo or supercharger you can get more low-end power, while still having a high peak horsepower.

  • @FrozenBlaze

don't get me wrong, i am not promoting the use of turbo's, X-series M cars, or automatic transmissions.

I'm just stating that there is a precedent for turbocharging in the BMW M division, and the purpose for this is driveability. (the e60 m5 has absolutely NO power below 3500 rpm)

I have most of those old videos and in one of them "M philosophy" is defined as: "to take a street car with all it's amenities and utility and add the performance of a true sports car, almost a race car)

  • @Lattamonty I totally agree with you! Soon every ///M model will have a turbocharged engine. But the reason BMW is building turbocharged engines is because they have to lower their "CO2" emissions otherwise they will have very high taxes. I say f*ck CO2 and f**k greenhouse gases, I want my naturally aspirated ///M engines back!!

  • @endMCMXCII Some like turbo engines, others naturally aspirated ones. I'm fond of both.

The main asset in turbos is the power, not the frugality.

However, DO NOT mess up with the climate. We have to cut down our consumption, not by banning sports cars and NA engines, but family cars instead, because that's what would make a difference.

True petrolheads settle for the high taxes and commute on foot, by bike or by train.

  • @Lattamonty at least it's I6. i hate that the m3 has a v8. Besides, TT I6 is GODLY!

  • @Lattamonty I wouldn't consider x5 and x6 the "//M way". Please refer to the originals of the M1 and E30 M3 in future posts :) as these are the "//M way". But then again, this is only one man's opinion, so consider this reply moot i suppose. I love my E30 325e (1986).

  • @neemguy81 Neither do I consider any "M" models of the X series true //M cars. They are pointless luxury cars for spoilt drug dealers and human traffickers that have no taste whatsoever when it comes to automotive aesthetics.

I'm sorry if I haven't been very clear about what I say - I find the M1 and the e30 m3 wonderful cars as they represent the true //M way. I wish you sheer driving pleasure with your classic BMW. My dad has a z3 and it's a lot of fun with its 1.8 NA, RWD and stick!

  • At 0:35 the guy looks like - and laughs - like a James Bond villian.

  • MÜNCHENNN

  • Bad-ass!

  • 1 Series M turbo coupe

    380hp

    390ft-lbs of torque

    Hi-revving bi-turbo, twin-scroll design

    30+ mpg

    $48,000 base

  • i thought that was arnold schw. talking! haha

  • @leofanto Haha!

  • @BMWrocksalltheway wait they're really gettiing 30 mpg out of that speed demon? That's epic.

  • @Amazetbm Yea! I dont normally calculate fuel consumption in terms of mpg, but HECK!! 30 mpg is quite an awful lot for such an epic car!

  • yes - exactly how he said it .. dreaming to have it ..

if i had it i would sleep in it .. eat next to it .. and every time its out of my sight miss it!

    simply obsessed with it!

  • BMW M1?????? M1? M1?? wow, i believe this is "the" pocket rocket of this era!!!

  • Meins. 2011 werd ich lachen ;-)

  • Such an ugly car.

  • Give it a power-bulge and make it have two exhausts in the center of the rear. That would make it look amazing. I have a 135i coupe and can't wait till this comes out.

  • @Omega08082 Me too. The 135i is great to drive especially on French and Germain roads, but this looks even better.

  • They say it will be affordable. Affordable for whom?

    A little math:

    (german base prices)

    335i = 46150€ M3 = 68350€

    M3 is 22200€ more expensive then the 335i (48%)

    135i = 40100€ * (1,48)

    1MC ~ 59380€

    Define affordable please.

  • Great!!!

Closest thing to M3 E30 BMW has done so far!!

Shame it doesnt feature a 2 liter 4cyl turbocharged engine..

With 275hp and no more than 1250kg, it shoud have been the best handling and most thrilling BMW in the last 20 years...

Nevertheless, it should be a blasting piece of kit!

  • @happyontheroad you need power too, not only handling

  • i believe what Dr.Kay said, all M cars until now are doing those things, so there is no reason to dont believe him now, M cars was , are, and will always be the top of their class

  • lol im guessing the "M" badge alone will cost 10k =P

  • BMW, if you're listening: I've heard this is a turbocharged car. Is this true?

  • Great car!

  • lighter weight than m3&m5 = faster m1

  • BMW power forever <3

  • it looks small. They should make one that's a hatch and or 4 wheel drive and compete in rallying. It looks like a rally car. I'm more of a M6 fan.

  • the best!!!!!!!

  • i really dont like the 1 series !!! i'll stick with my 3 series !!! :D

  • Nice Car, Nice Video. Does everybody knows this song?

  • I was hoping for a video of the new BMW M1, and what I got was a Liberal Arts degree r-tard just using catchy slogans. Come on! I want to know the new features. How is it different? Torque, weight, HP, wheel base, MPGs, engine, etc. Respond if you know anything or I'll wait to see it on Top Gear.

  • fuck all the 34 people who put 34 thumbs down

  • i like this video. especially the part when he says "it's M pure, i guarantee that".

However, i guarantee it is not more "M pure" than my 135 hp mazda protege

  • girls girls pack it in for fuck sake..

  • I'll wait for it because I love it! Sehr schön gemachter Spo(r)t! BMW Freude am Fahren eben! Gratulation für die Macher

  • Fuck the goose pimples, my cock is hard!

  • YOU WILL HAVE GOOSE PIMPLES!!!!!!!!!!

  • YOU BETTER GUARANTEE THIS ISNT GONNA BE SUPER EXPENSIVE!!!!!!!

  • can´t wait, give me step 2 !!!

  • tired of the old design...........

  • Cool! Can´t wait. Off course I registered.

  • BMW sucks, stupid junk on wheel...

Why you all have orgasm on that BMW?

  • @DigableDude The only "fag" here would be you :)

Why? Explanation : You're saying those who choose to drive this certain selection of cars are stupid, idiotic and abnormal. And the only proof you have to back up your idea would be your last "boyfriend", who you obviously didn't like.

Do everyone a favor here and just get lost. You'll only find more troubles if you choose to pick up this online argument again.

  • @sophmiester My comment was "obviously" a Troll Comment. And based on kneejerk your response, I'd say it worked....

    You BMW fanboys are fun..

    Thanks for Playing..LOL

  • @DigableDude Well i commend you on your discrete "troll" comment.

The car looks different, with all those werid designs on the side, so i thought i'd check it out.

I'm not a fanboy, so dont just assume things

And thanks for playing with me. :D

  • @DigableDude And what's your problem?.Go somewhere else and say things like that........

  • @DigableDude Oh so you're a FAG than.

  • sti! ftw.

  • right when the 1 series came out I knew they were going to do this. it will probably have the old m3 333hp engine.

  • what will it be called

  • This video is just a lot of talk, but information value is nil. Please have a bit more respect for the dreamers you are talking about.

  • It's still a chick car.

  • a german dr with a heavy german accent talking about how great the 1 M is = great commercial..genius, got me sold

  • meh, all M cars look the same, same as all RS cars with audi, AMG with benz. all M cars have that same front bumper, and quad exhaust on back and those ginormous rims..... getting old

  • 1 Series is the worst looking BMW....and the paint job of the 1 series M coupe in this video is pretty gay.

  • @PLmikePL

This is the paintjob they use to disguise the lines of the bodywork from spy photographers. This car isn't finished yet and so is shown in it's testing form. The real car obviously won't have that paintjob and the aero parts may also differ slightly from anything they find in testing.

  • I am so down with that paint

  • This car is NOT for losers!!!!!!!!!!!

  • you will have "goosepimples"?

    lmfao

aww thats cool at least he tried. xD

  • doesn't anyone think he sounded like Arnold in the beginning..

  • BMW is ugly

  • "Goose pimples" ROFL IRL.

On a serious note, I hope this is gonna be affordable...

  • no i will not smile at those headlights!

  • lol goose pimples

  • Btw the paint job is so to avoid spies getting good pics

  • @aahhmmeedd112233 shut up

  • @waticantgetausername Type prototype car camouflage in google and see what comes up dickhead.

  • did he say "you vill have goosepimple"

  • @James052000 Don't fear the goose pimple.

  • One of the most awesome accents ever :) I would like to drive that car though.

  • I hate the look on the front...

  • haha what a German accent^^ ioull lovit... autständing... i garantee sis SCHWARZENEGGER-STEIL

  • sweeeeeeeeeeeeet

  • This man is annoying

  • and it gets 4mpg, that's technology for you!

  • what is the music playing?

  • BMW 135i coupé, weight 1560 kg

BMW 335i coupé, weight 1525 kg

  • @Kenjh71 in the UK, the figures are:

    135i - 1560kg

    335i coupe - 1600kg

    335i saloon - 1610kg

i doubt it is much different elsewhere, and certainly don't expect it to differ throughout europe

135i is still heavy for what it is, though

  • @ninpohimiko

I got my numbers from BMW own pages.

But I guess we agree that the 1 series is far from light and nimble, regardless of what the BMW press people want us to believe...

  • @Kenjh71

i did too; from BMW UK. it would make more sense for 135i to be lighter than 335i as it's often touted as a selling point... but imagine the 135i with another couple of kilos lopped off... now that would be awesome. shame that even the up and coming 1 M isn't likely to lose anywhere near that much

  • I love the way the rear looks but the front is sooooooo ugly

  • I feel like I've seen this car 1,000 times before.

  • It is confusing. The m1 was a supercar previously made by BMW years ago. They cant really call this an m1 then.

  • @psychocycledad IT is going to be called the 1///M kinda like the Z4 ///M Coupe. See the name on the title? the 1 is WAY BEFORE THE M.

  • i like the m1 sport

  • M1? wow I rather drive my old 99 M3...

  • I thought they already had a 1 series bmw? Is this the exact same thing just with a bigger engine or something?

  • @PeaceDisturber this is an m1...just like there is a normal 3 series and an m3

  • @justforwatchingcraps NO, it is a 1///M as the title to this vid suggests.
