Hi Mike. We were feeding that loop with abut 225 feet of RG-213. The loop is set for 7150 KHz and the VSWR is about 1.5:1 at resonance. It is usable across all of 40 meters without a tuner except for the extremes. My radio is a Kenwood TS-570S. The tuner in that radio will tune from 15 to 1500 ohms. So I consider it a lightweight tuner. But it will tune every band from 40 all the way up to 6.
Great demo on setting up the delta loop in the field. Would like a little info on how your feeding the ant, use of tuner etc, for those who have never used a loop.
daft question for you but what the name of the thing you banged the pole in the ground with ?would save lot of time QRP working to have one 73 Barry
