I was really rooting for Hope and Maks this season but that was just wrong! I think this is one of the reasons why Maks has yet to get a win. He gets really tough on his partners, which isn't necesarrily a bad thing until it gets out of line. and that's exactly what happened there.

Being a teacher requires patience. Maks is way too short tempered at times. Derek guided Hope, and then praised her for what she did correct. That's how you teach people. Yelling, and pushing/grabbing your student doesn't get results.

Maks just didn't want Hope to be the weakest link or he and Hope to be the weakest link in the team. She doesn't always catch on as fast as he wants her to. But it may be his method of teaching. He's a tough teacher. But probably necessary. I have to say, is Derek Hough unbelievable at 4:04. He's always got some amazing new moves.

Yes, I commented on another clip of the same..Maks complains that Derek gets better dance partners (quoting Ricki Lake and Jennifer Grey as examples) and yet Maks had Kirsty Alley and Mel B but still didn't win and I believe it's because Derek is a more patient teacher (and better choreographer) but Maks is amazingly hot and I would put up with his broodiness...fwoar!

Amazing song, great choreography and the 3 solo's just fantastic, I really like Team Paso Doble.

What I did not like was Maks the way he treats Hope is despicable, 1:26 was hard to watch I mean Hope is an amazing athlete and a beautiful woman and does not deserve to be put through this nightmare of a partner.

Maks treated Hope terrible. The others were really shocked and helped her. Maks you should have been disqualified for that abuse. Derek is the golden boy and they got the best song. Did not think it was fair at all.

I feel for Hope. Can't blame her to want to be voted off, she's not having fun at all, no thanks to her pro dancer who is better off dancing SOLO. For Hope's sake AND sanity, i hope she leaves next week. And I hope Maks will be true to his threat about leaving the show, that threat has been pending season after season. How about if he finally leaves and NEVER comes back. He's the weakest link anyways, his choreography is recycled and when he dances you'd think he doesn't have a partner!

I'm a woman and a huge soccer fan but seeing Hope take this abuse is sickening and frustrating. She doesn't deserve this; hell NO ONE deserves the kind of crap Maks is putting her through. Its mental, emotional and physical abuse. His disrespect is astonishing. He is constantly breaking her down every rehearsal. What if he had really hurt her, hitting her on the shoulder and tossing her around like that? Someone needs to teach Maks how to treat a woman.

I believe that each and every dance instructor on this show is unique and special. Derek's quality of work and integrity speaks for itself which is why everyone hopes that he will be their teacher. I believe Derek is a truly amazing person and in this kind of business with so many egos that's truly rare. The dance sequences gave me chills. They were just that good.

@maaayUs Well, it was halloween and those two dances are the most intense therefore appropriate. Also i guess since the 2 of them hadn't done either of those dances, it made sense to give it to them. Each group had at lease 2 ppl who had done one of those dances. But yea i guess doing it in the same week must have helped :)

@talk2minie actually now that Iv'e watched an interview with JR&Karina I'm not sure if it was such a great thign for them afterall .. they had the same dances, but different choreographies .. it all was getting mixed up by them .. :) so it wasn't a blessing for them at all, it was more like a curse .. :)

@maaayUs Yea me too. I just saw the interview as well. I guess it had it's pro's and cons. On one hand, you're learning the same technique which i bet makes it less stressful but at the same time, you could forget which move goes in which routine. One thing is for sure, no one can accuse any of these guys, pro or celebs, of not working hard lol
