The first half of th movie is brillant. Unfortunately, the Ewok principle comes into play in the second half.

I love the Mad Max films. "Bust a deal and face the wheel!" "Ain't we a pair, raggedy-man!" Class. Of course Australia has come a long way since these documentaries were made.

It's not supposed to. Trailers in the 70's and 80's were designed to entice you and spark your curiosity with their imagery so that you'd go see the film to learn what it was about.
