how much help can you give them? the people who helped me didnt just give me something, they helped myself by doing it on my own. I didnt get handouts nor did I want them. You dont give out something because then you create dependency and complacency. I do help people. I work at a shelter where the people living there take care of the place by cleaning and they have to get a job and stay off drugs.

US Embassy is US soil and this has happened. There have also been numerous homegrown terrorism cases, but you probably don't count them as acts of terrorism because the offenders weren't called 'mohamed' or 'abduhla'.

And, if you remember correctly, the Dept. of Homeland Security warned of such cases of homegrown, domestic terrorism coming from the far-right. It was ridiculed and mocked by nearly all republicans and of course Fox news, and then after a handful of cases identical to that which the DHS warned of, they were forced to backtrack.

Are you aware that waterbording has been declared hopelessly ineffective by EVERY professional body to comment on it. In fact, if you look at known cases where valuable information regarding terrorism was acquired, you'll see it was not due to torture.

Actually, while the political parties of the Civil War carried the same names as today's parties, they were NOT the same thing at all. During the Great Depression, there was a huge re-alignment where conservative Dems (Southerners mostly) joined the Repubs and liberal Repubs (and most of the rest of the nation) joined the Dems. There were 2 more realignments in 1960 & '80 which gave us our modern Repub and Dem parties. So, your words while factually true are misleading and currently false.
